Answer:	Hi. Can't answer that fully because I don't have the HK AVR 1700-z myself. I use it with a Bose radio/CD player in the aux input and it works great. Much better than a similar Belin unit I had. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Not very good. First the volume is far lower than when music is playing so you have to adjust the volume every time. Second, the people on the other end of the call say I sound really bad. Answer:	Yes it does, well at least mine did. I plugged mine into one of the switched outlets on the back of the amplifier so when I turn it on it comes on as well. And it seems to work well.

Answer:	Yes, the one I received plugs into a regular 110 home wall outlet. There is no USB power adapter included even though some of the older answers said that there was. The plug is however converting from 110 to 5V DC so it may be possible to splice in a USB plug since most USB outlets are putting out 5V. I may actually try that since I need to use it in my car.

You only need (one) adapter for your entire speaker system BECAUSE you plug the adapter into your receiver via optical or RCA connection. Your receiver must have either optical or RCA inputs. You will need to purchase the appropriate input cord to do so. If you use RCA connection you will need 3.5mm plug into dual RCA connectors. Easily found on Amazon. If you are using this on a computer media system you may have a 3.5mm input for audio. In that case a 3.5mm to 3.5mm plug is used. It is a wonderful adapter. I use it specifically to send digital music from my phone to my old school analog vintage stereo receivers.

When calls come in on my 2011 S5 it stops the music, but the call comes in on the phone, not the car speakers. if you switch it to speakerphone it automatically switches back to regular phone. It's really annoying so I just turn off bluetooth at that point and use the speakerphone. It also periodically drops the bluetooth for 10-15 seconds maybe once every 15-20 minutes.

Question:	What kind of bluetooth is it? 3.0, 4.0 or
Answer:	I don’t recall that info being included in the paperwork, a quick gander at the information on the ad itself didn’t yield any answers either. The Logitech model (identical case and lights) have reviews from 5 years ago that say it’s BT 3.0. However some have a sticker that call it item #bt4.1 🤔. Regardless, for the stereo application I have this for, the computer connects IMMEDIATELY upon power up so the low latency would make me believe that it is at least 4.0. All are backwards compatible- so- it should work regardless. Mine streams FLAC with no issue or hiccup. Sorry I couldn’t give you a direct answer- the oldest models I would believe to be 3.0, maybe 4.0, doubtful it’s 5 as this model has been for sale for quite some time already.

Answer:	They can be on different channels... Firmware updates may have changed this but ours can currently be named. FYI, Spotify is a bit of a pain to use with it since you have to run their app at the same time.

Answer:	I do not have an Android, so this answer only applies to Apple products. That said, this device works just like all of my other Apple AirPlay streaming equipment, i.e. Airport Express & Apple TV 2nd & 3rd generation. The setup is easy, it appears in the list of AirPlay devices on all platforms, so it works well on the iPad & iPhone and can be played with multiple AirPlay devices from iTunes on an iMac or MacBook. This device works great and is much less quirky than the apple streaming devices. The only drawback, and maybe this is a feature, is that the output is to analog audio. So I take this directly to the RCA AUX input of my receiver. On the Apple airplay devices you have the option of either analog or digital output so you can run the audio through a DAC, gaining a slightly better audio quality...

Answer:	It is a little involved to configure from a mac computer. Basically, you join the configuration WiFi, I think something like Audiocast_xxxx, on your mac. Then look at the TCP/IP router address in your Network configuration in System Preferences. Enter that IP address in your browser, Safari or Chrome. You will get a configuration page on your web browser where you can enter your WiFi SSID and password for the network you want it to join. I just figured this out by trial and error trying to get a 3-year-old broken device to work, but I could never get the AirTunes server to come up on my broken device. When I get my new one, I'll try to get a procedure together for configuring it from a browser and add it here.

Answer:	As far as I can tell, the term “multi-function” just refers to the fact that the same button is used as a power on/off as well as putting the device in Bluetooth pairing mode. I don’t think it has any music controlling functionality. Typically you would control your music directly from your wireless device such as phone/iPod/iPad etc.

Answer:	As long as you have the cable and connection in your for the older iPods (wider 32 pin connection I think) you will be all set. The device replaces your iPod, receives your Bluetooth signal from your phone and feeds it to your car. I have a 2008 Audi A6 and it works for me.

Answer:	I have an '08 MB ML320. If you have the ipod option, it will plug into that. Yes, it does stop playing music when you get a call. That is a phone function. However, the phone sometimes picks the wrong audio output and you end up having to manually select the MB Phone System to hear the caller. Siri even works sometimes if you push the phone center button for activation. Overall, I am happy with it, though sometimes I do have to override between the phone, and this device. I think there is some amount of learning by the iphone on how to handle calls and music.

Answer:	This is happening with this product too? I was just about to order this one since I tried the Mpow one and it beeps at the beginning of each new track when playing through my iTunes albums on my iPhone. Ugh!
