Answer:	It will automatically pair when your phone is in range, as long as it is powered on. It won't power on automatically, and if your phone is out of range it will auto power down after something like an hour or so (I've never timed it). When I use this, I press & hold the play button for about 10 seconds, a blue light begins to flash & it plays 4 rising beeps to let you know its powered on. Once powered up, as long as my phone is in range, it will play 3 beeps in quick succession to let you it is paired - no action other than turning it on needed. It takes my phone about a second to pair. If I take my phone out of range or turn off bluetooth, but leave the unit powereded on, it will reconnect automatically once its able to "see" it again.
