Answer:	Leave the camera plugged in via charger. When car powers off it enters a low power state via the internal battery power, but you can also purchase the hard wire kit which will hook to car's battery and give constant power to the camera in the low power mode state. Answer:	The cameras work with power to the port, no power they turn off. Not every vehicle has a power port that turns off when you turn off the vehicle. Answer:	The grid lines are fixed and there is a blinking word STOP in the middle of the red line, obviously telling you to stop when an object gets to the red line. You can turn all of this off by snipping the white loop coming out of the control box. To turn, the camera would have to know the position of your steering wheel, which would be quite a complicated installation on the car, not too mention an expensive one.
