Question:	How are the cameras powered
Answer:	by tying into a 12v supply. For my TT I tied into the side clearance lights. The advantage of this is it makes for a clean installation with very little excess wiring. The disadvantage is that the cameras are only powered when the running lights are on. Had I not had a fully enclosed underbelly on the tt I likely would have run my own wiring from the battery with a switch and fuse.

Answer:	I would assume the answer to your question would be yes but i am not a hundred percent . It has two camera jacks or camera wire hook ups and when i set mine up (only one camera as a rear facing camera for hooking up to trailers and add measure of safety snow plowing . ) i had the option of av 1 (was an active signal ) and av 2 no signal present. Be aware that if the radio is on and you put the car in reverse the camera kicks in and you will not see the radio setting but you can still hear it fine.
