Since you would have to go through the body of the trailer Etc I would assume that the range is significantly less than 100 meters. However, being at the back of a 35 foot trailer, depending on whether it's something like a house trailer or a flatbed trailer you have quite a difference. 100 m is approximately 330 ft. You're a talking about a 35 foot trailer plus, I would assume, the length of your vehicle. The odds are that it would work.

Answer:	Yes, leave it on as a rear camera, reverse the view to act like a rear view MIRROR. Note that a right-side camera is helpful for lane changes in US (Right lane)
