I followed the enclosed instructions and the system works as advertised. The left of right markers light when a car is in the blind spot and if I turn on the signals it beeps. In reverse it warns of cross traffic also with a beep. Look at your control module and make sure the green light on it is blinking, that means it has found a GPS signal and is ready. Check all your wiring. If all is OK I would say you have a defective unit.
