I dont know if its just a difference in firmware or changing versions of Raspbian, but I got this camera working on the Raspberry Pi Zero W with no issues(Running Raspbian). I decided to just try starting this camera up exactly like the regular PiCamera before following ridiculous instructions regarding a VGA 666 adapter(extra confusing because its not even technically related to the camera). I followed instructions here https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/usage/camera/python/README.md.
