If you will be mixing the dyes or scents directly into your melted soap base you should use something that wont be used for food use also, or transfer it to a different non-food mixing container. Most people probably have a microwave to heat up the soap base but I don't so I used the double-boiler method. I got a pot of water and floated a 2 cup pyrex mixing cup in that...put the soap pieces into the pyrex container but be careful not to get water into the pyrex. |
