3 best subwoofer under 300
When it comes to subwoofers under $300, you have a range of options for enhancing your car audio experience. These component subwoofers can provide deep bass and improved sound quality. Here are some key considerations and options:
Power Handling: Look for subwoofers with adequate power handling capabilities. This ensures that the subwoofer can handle the power output from your amplifier without distortion. Subwoofers in this price range typically have power handling ratings between 200 watts RMS and 500 watts RMS.
Size: Subwoofers come in various sizes, typically 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch. The size you choose depends on your preference and the available space in your vehicle. Larger subwoofers generally produce deeper bass but may require more power.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity rating indicates how efficiently a subwoofer converts power into sound. Higher sensitivity ratings require less power to produce the same volume as a lower sensitivity subwoofer. Look for a subwoofer with a sensitivity rating of around 85 dB or higher.
Enclosure Type: Consider whether you want a subwoofer designed for sealed or ported enclosures. Sealed enclosures offer tight and accurate bass, while ported enclosures can provide more booming bass. Make sure the subwoofer is compatible with the type of enclosure you plan to use.
Brand and Model: Some reputable brands that offer subwoofers under $300 include Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, and JBL, among others. Popular models within this price range may include the Pioneer TS-SW2002D2, Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12, Kicker CompC, and JBL Stage 1200B.
Voice Coil Configuration: Subwoofers may have single or dual voice coils. Dual voice coil subwoofers offer more wiring flexibility and can be wired to different impedance levels to match your amplifier's capabilities.
Build Quality: Pay attention to the build quality and materials used in the subwoofer's construction. A well-built subwoofer is more likely to deliver reliable performance and durability.
Warranty: Check if the subwoofer comes with a warranty, as this can provide peace of mind in case of any manufacturing defects.
User Reviews: It's helpful to read user reviews and ratings to get an idea of real-world performance and reliability.
Remember that the best subwoofer for you depends on your specific preferences, the type of music you enjoy, and the characteristics of your car audio system.By considering these factors, you can find a subwoofer under $300 that enhances your car audio experience without breaking the bank.

User questions & answers
Question: | Any review on this subwoofer |
Answer: | I am not sure how durable it would be using it like that. We currently are using it for children and occasionally for wheelchair assist however I have not seen anyone use it in that respect. I will tell you for the price it is a good buy. We had purchased 2 others from I believe Brunswick (not 100% sure if it was Brunswick) and they are also durable however they weigh between 30 to 60 pounds and are very difficult to move around. The ones from Rage are lightweight and made using a durable aluminum I believe. I don't think it is steel but it could be but is very lightweight if it is. Definitely recommend purchasing this product. Best ramp we have purchase for the money so far to date. |
Question: | Does come in a pair or just one |
Answer: | yes, I am totally blind and I am the one who put it together. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are xlr outputs high-pass filtered when the sub's crossover switch is set to 80hz? if so, what is cutoff frequency of xlr outputs |
Answer: | Hello, When using the crossover at 80Hz, it would apply a high pass filter to your monitors from 80Hz. It would also engage a low pass filter on the sub from anything above 80Hz. If this was helpful, please consider purchasing from us (pixelproaudio on Amazon). We can help with support after the sale as well. We have it in stock and ready to ship. - Pixel Pro Audio |
Question: | If I use the TRS input, will I be able to use the XLR output |
Answer: | Yes, you can use the balanced Tip-Ring-Sleeve 1/4" input (that might come from your preamp) with the balanced XLR (microphone-type) output to your satellite speakers. Shouldn't be any issues unless one of your cables have a pin wired in conflict. This is exactly how I have it configured using a Duet 2 and LSR-308s. |
Question: | Does it come w/ the 2 xlr or trs cables it needs |
Answer: | No cables included with my unit. I recommend Mogami. |
Question: | Am I correct in my thinking that you connect the sub to your audio interface, and then your studio monitors will connect from the sub |
Answer: | Yes but not necessarily, with the right connection wires it can be run from any type of input. I run a 1/8" to two 1/4" (L & R) into the sub and two female XLRs to 1/4" cables into my monitors. Sounds amazing. |
