Answer:	Hello, The speakers require something (usually a receiver) to provide power, this device would then control the speaker's volume.
Question:	Are these compatible with Alexa/Echo Dot
Answer:	These are not Bluetooth speakers so they will not work directly with Echos or Dots and need to be powered by an audio receiver. You can however, use an RCA or Bluetooth connection between an Echo or Dot and the reciever and stream to the speakers.

Answer:	No the 4 is for the size and model, there is only 2 speakers in the box! These are Great Speakers!!!

Answer:	These are not portable or mobile speakers. You cannot connect a phone/laptop directly to them. You would need to connect an audio receiver to power the speakers, just like a home theater setup.

Answer:	For $35 dollars they look nice, sound like $35 dollar speakers in cheap plastic cabinets. It’s nice enough plastic but very light weight speaker. You can tell they are cheap. But they work, and sound fine for my basement where I watch tv and that’s all I do with them. The good stuff is upstairs lol. 1-10 for music I give a 2. But to each his own. Sounds fine for tv related stuff imo.

Question:	How many watts can these speakers handle
Answer:	20-100 watts RMS
Question:	what is the difference between the 6.5 inch vs the 8 inch versions
Answer:	The tweeters are exactly the same between the two. The 8" model has a larger woofer and therefore will provide better bass reproduction (i.e., deeper low end bass). The reason for the different sizes is sometimes the spacing distances between the ceiling joist and wall studs will dictate which one you can use . If your wall studs or ceiling joist are on 16" centers then get the 8"... if they are on 12" centers you'll have to settle for the 6.5". Hands down... if you have the room get the 8". Just FYI: The 8" version outsells the 6" version 2 to 1.
Question:	How much sound is transferred to the room above? I'm installing in a basement ceiling below a bedroom
Answer:	Depends on the construction of the house. I would Place a bat of fiberglass insulation behind the speaker if there is no insulation in the ceiling. This will reduce the transmission of sound upstairs , and improve the sound of the speaker in the room it's installed.
Question:	Do these speakers have open backs? Do they come with enclosures
Answer:	This is actually a great question. As the others have said, the backs are open, which is typically not an issue when installing into a wall or ceiling. HOWEVER...if you install into a ceiling that has blown insulation above it (the loose cellulose kind, not the rolled fiberglass kind) then you WILL want to come up with your own way of keeping the loose insulation off the backs of the speaker. If you don't (as I didn't the first time I bought these) then over time the quality and volume of the sound will lessen because of the insulation working into and pressing against the cones. I had to replace one set because of this problem.

Answer:	After struggling and struggling with this same feature (I live in a college town. The college kids were using the unsecured hotspot created by the magnifi to make wifi telephone calls, thus blocking my phone and using up all my router bandwidth ) I found a solution. I unplugged the magnifi, put it in a box, and threw it in the town dump. I then went out and bought a new sound bar that cost 1/2 as much as the Polk that could only be updated when I specifically wanted to update it. I found this to be the perfect solution to a problem the polk WILL NOT fix, WILL NOT assist the customer when asked for help either thru their customer support or their technical support. Now I go around telling anyone who will listen the absolute truth about the lack of support I got from polk. You can do this also.

Answer:	Hello, The device you choose to provide power to the speakers would have the Sonos compatibility.

Answer:	Yes that is correct. I used some scrap 3 conductor cable, 14-3 I think, for this run. Much easier running 1 cable as apposed to 2 speaker wires.

Answer:	Because it is the like having 2 speakers in one. Hook one pair to the right channel and one pair to the left channel.

Answer:	These are wired to an amplifier via speaker wire.

Answer:	I don't know. I won't, you would plug up the holes and I think effect the sound.

Answer:	Depending on how far you need to run the wire, 16 or 14 gauge stranded for short runs or 12 -10 gauge stranded for longer runs.. 30 - 50' or so short/over that is long and requires heavy like-12-10 gauge

Answer:	I am not sure. It didn't exactly fit my Delta 10 inch band saw but I made it work
Question:	Do all 4 speakers come with the protective plastic cover? Photo shows 2 yes and 2 no
Answer:	They are a good replacement when the old plates get chewed up. and I suppose using a fresh one when working with tiny parts could be useful. I have them as backups when the one gets pulled out and cut by the blade. But I cut a lot of odd materials.
Question:	Is this price for two sets of 6x9s
Answer:	it is a hard plastic, a tad brittle but works well. I did not have my saw guides set well with the first one and it was "eaten" up. However after re-adjusting the guides the second one is working very well. Fits well in the saw.
