Question:	Is the actual "crossing-over" done with those adjustable restistors used to select the frequency? Are those of equal quality to a fixed crossover
Answer:	All I can tell you is I have had this crossover multiple times over the last 15 or so years and this time when I first installed it, it worked just fine for the money but it seems like over time it loses it's ability to do it's job and then it just stops. The highs will just go out and the bass boost and lows will work just fine. I think it is a design flaw that they will never correct because you don't pay them enough money for a really good product I guess. But as long as you just want medium performance this think is ok but it's not the best.

Answer:	IMHO, yes. You can use the sub in/out and adjust it's frequency band with the dedicated sub knob. Or, connect the sub to the main input and use the entire EQ to fine tune the bass. This is how I use it to tune to my car. I use another PEQ10 for the mid and highs. Because they are true parametrics, the range of adjustment is fantastic and I can clean up any muddiness or discoloration in the bass. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Assuming that you are asking about the use of headphones in a car audio application, the SSL4EQ can raise the pre-amp line-out voltage from the FM/CD/HeadUnit to 7 volts. A typical head-unit alone outputs from 2 to 4 volts. The voltage rise achieved can help audio quality because a stronger signal will better reproduce weak audio frequencies and background music which may be difficult to isolate and amplify down the line.Signal voltage rise would also produce rises in volume overall, and a good clean volume rise in bass frequencies.This all depends on clean, quality audio signals from the start.
