Question:	Is the actual "crossing-over" done with those adjustable restistors used to select the frequency? Are those of equal quality to a fixed crossover
Answer:	All I can tell you is I have had this crossover multiple times over the last 15 or so years and this time when I first installed it, it worked just fine for the money but it seems like over time it loses it's ability to do it's job and then it just stops. The highs will just go out and the bass boost and lows will work just fine. I think it is a design flaw that they will never correct because you don't pay them enough money for a really good product I guess. But as long as you just want medium performance this think is ok but it's not the best.

Answer:	My kicker compc 10 is 300w rms and 600 peak. I use this amp in bridged mode at 4 ohms and it does great. Although I’d imagine a 15 would need a bigger amp depending on specs.

Question:	What gauge wire should i use
Answer:	This amp has a 25 amp fuse. The most power it can produce at 14.4v is 360 watts. However most amps will normally produce about 80% of this safely. You should use a 12 gauge wire for runs 4 feet or less. If over 4 feet, you should use 10 gauge. If over 16 feet, use 8 gauge.
Question:	If i have 2 12's with 400 watt rms could it push them both at max and a little more right
Answer:	Well this amp claims 900watts per channel and bridged gives you 1800watts but these are just numbers that they claim.my 10s are 1000watts rms a piece and i have it bridged,i would say at best this amp is giving 1200 to 1400 watts bridged so that would make it 400 to 600 watts per channel so this would be perfect to push your 2 12s.dont forget toset the gains right so you dont blow the subs incase its over powered.whats the max wattage on each sub?

Answer:	Yes you can. There is a switch on the amp and it will take the sound from channels 3 and 4, and use it for the subwoofer.. so you dont need a 5th rca cable.

Answer:	Taken from Google: RMS stands for root mean squared.You use RMS to tell you in part how loud the speakers are going to be, you also you its sensitivity rating.RMS also tells you the most amount of watts that you speaker can handle on a continuous basis. This is the figure you use when looking for an amplifier and powering the speaker.1000w RMS is a lot and i would be very skeptical buying any speaker that says it handles 1000w RMS, most companies that put out a speaker like that inflate their numbers by making the THD level higher so once you turn it up the signal is not clear. Also they will make it 1000w RMS but its sensitivity rating is very low such as under 80db/1w.i know i have two JL subs that are rated at 300 watts RMS each and the 600 watts it puts out is enough to make me go deaf.

Answer:	There is a switch near the sub control on the amp.. direct or channel 3-4. If you do not have a sub input the switch should be set to 3-4. So it will get the sound from channels 3-4. . Hope this helped

Answer:	It is extremely important to understand Ohms law when choosing speakers. One answer on another question says it is not 2 Ohm stable. They wouldn't make the UL list if it didn't. The fifth channel is 1 channel that is 2 Ohm stable. It can handle 2 single voice coil subs wired in parralel which brings the Ohms down to 2 Ohms. I do not recommend DVC in a mono amp unless the amp is 1 Ohm Stable. If you got 2 DVC subs wired parralel would present a 1 Ohm load to your amp and blow it up.

Answer:	Had the same issue with ankther brand EQ. Problem went away when I switched the positive from the EQ and attached it to the yellow cable straight to battery not the red to ignition. That should fix it.
Question:	How would you do the power wire i see theres one in picture with a fuse but isint that to short
Answer:	Hello, No the Red wire with fuse holder is not to short. The longer side of the Red wire goes to the Scar SKA7EQ, On Back of the SKA7EQ is the power, ground, and Remote terminal. The Red wire will be extended with a 14awg wire to your power source. Source could be the car battery, or an Accessory fuse circuit of 10 amps 12volts DC current. Extending this red wire is Normal in the audio installation world. The coupling will be needed to successfully butt the two wires together and crimp both sides, if u like install the double red wire size with Heat Shrink Tubbing, then Couple the wires with the "Butt Connector" , slide the heat shrink over it and heat the heat shrink with a Heat Gun, or powerfully hair dryer, then run the Red wire to the Accessory, or Battery positive Red Terminal. The same thing for the ground wire, black wire has no fuse in line so Run from your battery Negative Terminal Black, to the Scar SKA7EQ next to the Red wire, and Tighten it down to the SKA7EQ. The Remote wire is "In the business of Audio Installation" Traditionally Blue, Or Purple, Strip 4mm, or 3/8" and Install it into the Scar SKA7EQ at the R terminal, R stands for "Remote" or "Trigger" this Blue, Or Purple wire goes to your amplifier, and at the amplifier you will see a Positive terminal, a Negative Terminal and the R, "Remote" terminal the Blue or Purple Remote wire tightens onto the amp in the R terminal spot. The wire should be all 14 AWG for this. Wiring your amps u should at least use 4awg for both Power and Ground, Directly to the car/boat/atv Battery. Use small spools of OFC Copper, Red Positive, Black Negative, and Blue/Purple Remote from amazon, You have to have Amplifiers in your system to use the SKA7EQ. Get an Amplifier install kit, plus the three spools of 20ft of 14 AWG Red, Black, Blue from amazon....Good Luck.

Answer:	Yes, I have 2 AMPs connected to it. I have a 4 channel 1000 watt Rocksford Fosgate AMP pushing the highs and mids to the 6x9s and door speakers. And I have a 8000 watt Power Accoustik AMP pushing the Bass. The 1st knob is independent bass that controls my Power Accoustik AMP. The 2nd Knob is the overall volume. So the answer is Yes. It controls my 4 channel AMP and my Mono AMP at the same time.

Answer:	Having trouble with my 4 channel head unit (Alpine) - I have separate front and rear L/R RCA outputs coming from the head - I plugged the front RCA outputs into the "main" which works ok, but no place to plug in the rear output RCA cables....

Question:	Does this amp have adjustable hpf
Answer:	I am currently running XC1410 with a DB speakers and they are good, but not great. For the price its the best you are going to get with a stock head unit. I went with the XC1410 to give my stock head unit more power and it really did clear up the sound and increase the volume on my speakers. If you are planing on keeping your stock head unit to keep your steering wheel controls and OEM look this is the way to go. I highly recommend it.

Answer:	You will need to splice into the speaker wires, which is easiest to do behind the deck. The power must come from the battery, the fuse on the factory stereo is not sufficient. Answer:	Yes it is. However you'd get more out of it if you replace the speakers. Stock speakers can't handle too much power and will distort. You can keep the stock head unit though. It won't make too much difference.
