Answer:	I actually just got them about three weeks ago they’re 5 1/2 so you would need a 5 1/2 or 5 1/4 speaker and they would fit. I ordered 6 1/2 ones instead because they were the wrong size but the 5 1/2 or 5 1/4.

Answer:	The crossover separates the highs and lows. You can install with out it but it won't sound very good and probably blow the tweeters quickly....and unrelated to your question. I bought these and the Renegade RX6.2C for about the same price. But the Pyle tweeters blew writhing 2 weeks. ( I am running a amplified system) but I'm only pushing about 35-40 watts rms per door. The renegade are still in and working fine. However the Pyle sounded lounder for a while. But ended up dying...
