Answer:	It is setup to be used with a subwoofer. I think the idea is with the subwoofer crossover on and with the dial from 40 to 400Hz it will only let that freq and lower to pass through, while with the switch off it does not filter. The high pass filter doesn't apply to the subwoofer unless the parallel input mode switch has something to do with it. I am not sure we even have the same crossover. I used mine as a preamp to my mid and highs amp. I bypassed it with my subwoofer.
