Answer:	The otterbox adds more depth to the phone. I had to use a dremel tool to cut a notch so the cord doesn't get stressed in the phone when plugged in. It should fit the phone fine, as it opens fairly wide. I use an iPhone 7 in mine.

With tool changes you would be able to cut thru a 3.3" thick stock.Calculations for answer.4.5" -3.3" = 1.2" bit available to cut4.5" = 2.25" of bit + 2.25" thick of stock.

Answer:	The E3 CNC router DeWalt spindle comes with an 1/8" and 1/4" collects. Straight, vee, and rounded bits will all work. They need to have a 1/4" or 1/8" shaft size. Search Amazon for "1/8" in router bits" or "1/4" router bits" and select the bits for the material you plan to use. Small end mills will also work.

Answer:	The E3 is a CNC router that uses an Arduino microprocessor to interpret the g-code file. The firmware is called grbl ( is pre installed on the microprocessor and uses a USB port to receive serial port information (G-code) from software on the computer. I recommend UGS Universal G-code Sender Platform software to send the g-code text file to the controller. GRBL, and UGS use standard g-code text files to operate. Both have good documentation on their web sites showing their capabilities. There is definite a learning curve using computer controlled routers. G-code is a text file that has X,Y, and Z coordinate information. UGS sends these coordinates to GRBL which interprets this information and moves the machine. Also, just as note. Check out F-engrave and Scorchworks other products. This software creates the g-code files. This software can take pictures and turn them into g-code. Another good choice is NC Corrector which allows you to edit and graphically view the g-code. There are also program called stick font that makes text easy.
