1” Stacked back illuminated Exmor RS CMOS Sensor

This large 1” (1.0-type) stacked back illuminated Exmor RS image sensor with DRAM chip not only enhances efficiency and speed of A/D conversion through its stacked structure with more circuit sections; it also realizes super-fast readout speed - thanks to a DRAM chip integrated into the sensor structure. Additionally, the back illumination technology increases light collection efficiency and reduce noise in shots taken at up to ISO 12,800.

Slow motion shooting at 480/500fps and 240/250fps maintains fine images at nearly HD quality with the choice of Quality Priority mode. End trigger mode lets you capture the decisive moment in super slow motion starting from two or four seconds before the REC button is pressed.

Advanced video features

Desirable filmic looks are available with Picture Profiles which determine the character of movies by changing basic parameters like chromogenic effects and gradation adjustment. S-Log2 is a proprietary gamma setting from Sony that is invaluable for professionals seeking post-production flexibility, and extends the dynamic range of recording to reduce occurrence of blown-out highlights and black crush. Time code is also included which greatly aids in synchronizing cameras in multi-camera shooting.

Thanks to the Exmor RS sensor’s extremely fast readout, the anti-distortion shutter is capable of speeds up to 1/32000 sec. which minimizes image distortion caused by the rolling shutter phenomenon that can otherwise distort shots of swiftly moving subjects.

Anti-blink Function It’s frustrating to capture the perfect shot, only to review it later and discover subjects blinked during the photo. When the camera is set to Soft Snap, the Anti-blink function captures two images, recording only the photo with less squinting or blinking. If a blink is detected in other shooting modes, a warning will be displayed after you take the shot.
Sweep Multi Angle Mode    In Sweep Multi Angle mode, the camera takes 15 images at different angles as it sweeps across the scene. By tilting the camera during playback, the camera’s Gyro Sensor detects motion and displays the image in a 3D-like view on the camera’s LCD.
Anti-Motion Blur Mode Capture cleaner and sharper images in low light for non landscape shots. When set in Anti-motion Blur Mode, the DSC-TX10 captures six images in a fraction of a second with higher shutter speed and combines the data from all six to create a single image of extraordinary detail and dramatically reduce subject blur, beyond the capability of traditional cameras.
Backlight Correction HDR Shooting high-contrast scenes can often lead to washed out backgrounds and/or details lost in shadow. Backlight Correction HDR helps correct for this by taking three pictures at different exposure settings and processing the best elements of all three into a single image for more natural looking shots.
	TransferJet technology    TransferJet technology, developed by Sony and advanced and promoted by consortium of 18 other companies, allows the transfer of up to ten files between two TransferJet enabled devices just by touching their TransferJet logos together, without the hassle of hunting for cables or the complication of pairing8.

Answer:	No. It does have two angles of view, 170 and 120 degrees, but the 120 setting is less sharp. On the 170 setting it will automatically hold focus down to just a few inches.

Answer:	You can choose AVCHD or MP4 format for filming movies. AVCHD is 1080 60i (interlaced), and MP4 is 30p (progressive). In MP4 you can select 1080, 720 or VGA mode.

We took it on a snorkeling trip to Hawaii and didn't exceed the 15 feet limit that Sony said it was waterproof to, and it seeped water into the inside of the camera. Ruined it and when I tried to get Sony to honor it's warranty, they reneged on their warranty. Their service center is a joke. I barely took the camera any deeper than 5 feet.
