The 4k camcorder has a webcam function. Connect to your PC via USB and use it with the free software “AMCAP”, which you can use as a webcam for video calls or Livestream.

Answer:	I've owned both the R700 & this R800 and the only difference I can find is the R800 records MP4 video only. There might be some difference in the settings, but I'm not sure of that. The R800 "seems" to be a 'little' better in low light, but not much (if any). You're getting a newer model camera. But if you already have an R700 and you are satisfied, don't waste your money.

2.Select the webcam function.

If your operation is correct, but the webcam function is not possible, it may be that the USB interface has insufficient power supply, which makes this function unusable.

Question:	audio plays when in playback mode, but when I run the mp4 on my computer there is no sound whether using ext mic or 3.5mm aux cord. Why is this
Answer:	Because you bought a defective product. IF you buy ANY of these cameras that appear like yours, regardless of the accessory package, it WON'T WORK as you expect. This series of look alike products are all made at the same factory by the same workers who slap a different option package on a WORTHLESS PRODUCT. This will NOT focus nor is there a focus mode available. Sound is muffled, scratchy, or spotty. The image has a line roll thru it and will not stabilize in intensity and color. You may not notice this in bright light, but indoors it becomes horribly evident. To top all that off, mine ARBITRARILY stopped recording after 4 minutes at a minimum and 14 minutes at the maximum. I had installed a 128GB SD card from the seller, but it cued up with ONLY 24GB available. This was the 3rd CHINESE made SanDisk SD card which LOOKED LIKE a real SD card but did NOT have the shown GB available by over 25% of LABELED volume. MY advice, don't waste your keystrokes looking at or ordering ANY of this worthless trash.

As long as the camera has an HDMI output then you can live stream using the Video Capture Device. I do not own one of these cameras yet, but it is my understanding you can download a software to connect to and live stream with. If you want to live stream with quality then it would best to do so through a capture device.

Answer:	Yes, it has a charger that plugs into the wall.
Question:	What the frame rate
Answer:	It's under the "camera" icon after you press the Menu/Settings button. It's on the last page of the options, I believe. Be advised, though, that some of your other settings might "gray out" the digital zoom option, rendering it useless while you have those settings on. Also, while iZoom or extended zoom is available when the camera's in Intelligent Auto mode, digital zoom is not.
Question:	Is power supplied through the mic input, to operate a mic with out a battery? Or would you have to buy a mic with a built in power source
Answer:	I simply eject the SD card and insert it into my iMac, the same way I do for my Nikon and Sony cameras. I suppose you can download by cable, but that seems an unnecessary bother. The iPhotos program in your Mac also will clear your card if you want it to do so-- otherwise I suppose that you need to delete the photos or simply reformat the card. I invested in the Wasabi charger/battery deal which obviates charging the provided battery via the computer. I recommend extra batteries because some of the camera's functions such as 4K and Panorama draw heavily on your battery. I am not suggesting that the battery life is inadequate, but I like having a fully charged spare on hand.

Question:	Can I record while the camera is charging? If I have a portable charger, could I have the camera plugged into that and still record
Answer:	I think the answers are confusing to some. Here's the scoop. You can use an external battery pack like the one you charge your Iphone with or you can plug it into a USB port or you can use the 110v adapter with USB cable plugged in. When you do those following things the camera is running off those power sources and not your battery. And yes, you can record while plugged into those external power sources. The battery will not charge when doing that and recording but that should not be a problem. Charge your battery at home. Now start recording and when your battery gets low plug into your external battery pack or USB and keep going. I own this camera and did the experiment. I use this in my car as a dash cam and it's plugged into my cigarette lighter and it runs non stop without using the battery.

How to use the camera as a webcam:

The camera has a webcam function. Connect to your personal computer via USB and then use it with the free software "AMCAP" or "OBS Studio", which you can use as a webcam for video calls or Livestream.

Taking software of "OBS Studio" as an example:

Answer:	The biggest differences were: 1. The AX53 has a significantly bigger sensor and aperture, for much better "low" light 4k 2. The ax53 can record in either 1080 or 4K. The Panasonic only records in 4k--but it can perform a "pan and scan" kind of cropping in order to export a 75 percent smaller file. 3. The ax53 overall is "easier to use" especially if you plan to record yourself. 4. The ax53 has a 20x optical zoom as opposed to a 10x 5. Overall, the ax53 is pretty much a lot more palmcorder for a little more money. 6. BEWARE--Sony employees will tell you "Yes. You can live stream with this camera" but they DON'T tell you "...IF you pay 99.00/year to subscribe to our live streaming service." That's embedded in the camera's firmware. It's called the BOSS system and it allows that lens point in the same INTENDED direction even though you are constantly shaking the camera. It's major optical stabilization. And, as you move to a different subject to record, the lens follows you. Not something easy to design. If you're curious why I am going to return the one I purchased, I just found out that it doesn't shoot in 4k when you are holding it and shooting. Can only do 4k when it's on a tripod. Otherwise, it's just HD. I was wondering why it was so cheap and now I know. The camcorders you can hold and shoot in 4k are pretty expensive. I hate to pay up so much for 4k to hold and shoot though but 4k makes a huge difference in my opinion. One seems like you're there. The other video seems like it's a recording or representation of life. I'm still debating what to do...

Answer:	No. It should. Also the playback sound is not that good. I tried watching the ones I recorded and I turned the volume to the max. Can't barely hear it. But I still have to watch it on the big screen and see how's the sound like. The picture quality though is good and the zoom is really nice, and if you have a shaky hand, the stabilizer works pretty well.
