Answer:	The sync module 2 will still function like a traditional sync module, compatible with all generations of Blink cameras, however, only Blink Indoor and Outdoor and Blink Mini cameras will be compatible with local storage functionality. All other generations of cameras (indoor, XT and XT2) will be cloud based if/when they are added to the SM2. All existing customers who have an account created on or before 4/15/2020 will receive free cloud storage on all devices added to their account going forward, including Mini, and Blink Indoor and Outdoor.

Question:	How fast do they begin recording after motion? My arlo cameras continually miss cars coming in the driveway
Answer:	The recording starts immediately upon motion sensing. The *Early Notification* Beta setting alerts you within 5 seconds of motion detection, and you can access the Live View from your phone and choose whether you'd like to keep the live view clip. The live view clip then saves for as long as you'd like to continuously watch (which you'll be prompted to do), otherwise, you'll recorded clip will only be as long as you sell it to be(upto 60 seconds) with a cool down of 10seconds between clips with motion. Also, you can toggle whether you want it to stop recording 2seconds after motion end, or allow it to always record for the triggered clip length. I purchased mine mid- December 2020, and it works amazingly.
Question:	How are these different than my Blink XT2 cameras
Answer:	I just spoke with a Blink representative on the phone, he informed me that if you have a blink account activated before 4/15/20 using the older cameras (i.e. XT2), if you purchase the new cameras, they can be added to your existing system and they will be able to utilize the free cloud storage since the account is grandfathered in. The cloud storage paid plan is only for accounts made after 4/15/20.

Question:	How long does the battery last with one charge
Answer:	Have 5 placed outside, 3 most active get 15-25 Alerts a day. Other 2, only 3-5 a day. After 4 months 58-82% shown on battery life of 5 camera. Thought battery would discharge faster from some reviews, so got couple spares. Now just waiting to see when get below 30%, then will switch out.
Question:	Why can I not setup motion zones for alerts? (can do this with the newest indoor model) Only get a pie shaped "range." Will this problem be fixed
Answer:	I have inquired about the same issues. You can do a pie, and then exclude any of the 3 zones of the pie, but apparently, they took away the most useful functionality of their entire system. The new camera only allows the arc to go 1/2 of the view range making the usefulness limited at best. Support has reached out to try to “help” but in lieu of a software or hardware change, I’m not sure what can be done to rectify the situation short of getting a Gen 2 camera with the better controls.
Question:	If you use the camera indoors, is there a way to turn off the camera while you are home
Answer:	Two things: 1) If you plan on ONLY using it indoors, then go with the NEW cheaper $60 Ring camera. It is intended for indoor use only AND still uses the old motions zones instead of the motion arch. Plus it offers all the same benefits as this camera (except it is indoor use only). 2) I too had a similar question when I purchased the new Ring Indoor camera for $60. My solution was to purchase an Amazon Smart Plug. Then, in the Alexa app I an event to at a specific time to turn the smart plug on and a second event to turn it off. I don't need the camera on when I'm home and I wanted a way to automate the process. Answer:	I've been waiting 12 months for a forum tech support feed with detailed step by step trouble shooting regarding IP connection issues. My NVR has never connected typ my Arris 2.4ghz wifi router so I have never been able to use the NVR. ZMODO tech support only replies once a week and the reply is never technical. It is like advice from a 10 yearold. Worst tech support ever! I'm a trained windows tech with an advanced understanding of networking and I can not figure out why they are not communicating. Answer:	Audio not available on theses, Since it is WI-Fi and cloud based you can add as man y as you would like its just a matter of how much cloud space you want to pay for. I suggest you spend a little more and get a system with a DVR and you can store and keep what you want. Cloud service makes you hostage to the owner, you don't pay you can't retrieve.., I also think there could be some privacy issues (who can see what's being recorded and stored?) I did purchase these and wish I had not.
Question:	Any suggestions on plugging them in for outside use
Answer:	The system is rated IP67, but surprisingly recommends that you 'waterproof' the junction where the power supply connects to the camera. I installed our cameras under an eave, and put the power supply where water might touch it, but not soak it. I wrapped the connection in a decent tape. I've had one of these outside, unsheltered for about three months. The power supply looks 'potted', that is well sealed.
Question:	how do you charge them and how long last the charge
Answer:	I have these and the internal ones, too. They work great. These cameras ARE wireless. Wireless is an industry term referring to a network connection or radio transmission. It has nothing to do with power supply. wire·less wī(ə)rləs/Submit adjective 1.using radio, microwaves, etc. (as opposed to wires or cables) to transmit signals. "wireless broadband" noun 1.broadcasting, computer networking, or other communication using radio signals, microwaves, etc. You will still need 115VA-120VA power within the 6 ft to supply the 5V/1A power block or an extension if further away. If you are looking for a wire-free camera you will need something like an ARLO system. They work great but you will have to replace batteries based on the activity in the area being recorded. Some of mine would last 2 months, but most lasted about 2 weeks. The batteries are expensive. I tried the rechargeables, but they do not last as long. Arlo cameras a great for remote locations.

Question:	How long does the battery last? How often do you have to recharge the batteries
Answer:	3 to 6 months? Lmao yea right. Not even close. Try 2 weeks tops if you are lucky. You might get 2 months if you never check live video and it only records like 1 time a day but any normal person will be checking the live feed a couple times a day, multiple recordings etc....so no you won't even get close to that they claim.
Question:	To many reviews about this camera and bad wifi connection.are they true? Does the battery really holds for 2 months without recharging
Answer:	I am not sure why others are having a difficult time. I have zero wifi issues. I've had mine for over 2 months and it is still running strong. It does have to be in a location that has less traffic. Mine is set up on my front patio and works great. Sometimes I think some reviewers have not done their homework or read the instructions. Don't expect it to run like a $200 wired camera. Wyze had to make some compromises to make the battery life better. I still think all the Wyze cams are a bargain.
Question:	What is the range from base
Answer:	Not far enough. I have one of my cameras 20 feet away and it’s fine. The other camera is about 35 feet away and the signal is not so great.
Question:	Does this require a subscription for service? Or is it just stand alone ready to go and no additional fees
Answer:	This device does not require a subscription for service..... But, without the subscription, the unit will capture a 12 second clip upon sensing motion. This is for to short of a time to provide any evidence. Any recording to SD card must be manually activated or scheduled. It will not record all motion that is sensed to the SD card as the other wired Wyze Cams do.

Answer:	I just play the stored camera video in full screen mode and if there is anything I want to save locally I hit the record video icon and it saves to my phone.
Question:	What app does this use? Will it work with aisee
Answer:	I don’t know if it will work with that App but I had/have Digit Cam App for another camera and it erased my other camera from that app and put this camera and the two other Goowl cameras I purchased on that App along with their App I downloaded and set the cameras up on. I emailed the support email address listed in the App and got a returned email listed as access denied. Hoping I can add my original camera back in one of the two apps and delete the other because I am also getting duplicate alert messages from each App for the new cameras.
Question:	Do you need cloud to access the motion detection
Answer:	Dear friend, don't worry, it can support access to motion detection without using cloud storage. If the SD card is inserted into the security camera, the motion detection video will be stored in the SD card and cloud storage at the same time (Provide 7 days free cloud storage service). If the security camera does not have an SD card inserted, the motion detection video will also be stored in the cloud, and the new file will overwrite the old file and retain the latest 7-day file record. Answer:	They shortened the range with an update in Sept 2019. We are lucky to get more than 10 feet out of it, and by the time the Ring is activated and alerts us the person is already at the door. We are fighting for them to change back for removing an advertised feature or full refund.

Zmodo also has a windows Zviewer program you can download from their website so you can watch on your computer over your LAN. For the Zviewer progrm go to http://surveillance.zmodo.com/support-software scroll down to "Zveiwer for the PC" to download the program.
