Answer:	I use Manfrotto's this head (234RC) on a Gitzo 2541 mono. The head weighs 270 grams (about 150 g less) and allows you to go from landscape to portrait. Tilting the monopod forward and back provides the other axis. Works well. I have a 323RC2 on a BlackRapid strap so I can leave the plate on the camera and quickly move the camera from the strap to the monopod.
