Answer:	The knurled thumb screw that holds the flash itself can be replaced by an ordinary screw. When you replace the knurled thumb screw you must be absolutely sure the thread size is correct or you will strip the thread of the locking clamp. I suggest you first contact the company that sells the flash bracket. They may replace the screw. You can also go to a big box store like Home Depot or Lowes and look in hardware. There are drawers full of differing screw sizes. Again, any screw of sufficient length and correct thread size will work.
