Answer:	This lens gives you a 16mm equivalent wide angle, which is very wide. I am holding the lens you have in my hand. The lens has 2 rings that will turn. The ring closes to the glass is the focusing ring, if you manual focus. To change the angle turn the ring closest to the camera. If you turn this ring counter clock wise until it stops, you will be at the widest setting(8). The number 8 will line up with a white mark on the lens. Clockwise zooms out- less wide.
