| Answer: | "Cheap" isn't quite the word. The hard plastic construction has an obviously plasticky feel to it. However, it also FEELS SOLIDLY BUILT. Mine has been dropped several times and still works. Plastic seems like an appropriate material for this application, as the camera is bulky and could be quite heavy if more metal was used. |

I'm in my 40s & didn't want to look like I was carting a toy around. The classic look was appealing, the good quality was beyond my expectations. |
