Digital DSLRs (Digital Single-Lens Reflex Cameras):
Digital DSLRs, short for Digital Single-Lens Reflex cameras, are a type of digital camera that is designed for photography enthusiasts and professionals. These cameras have gained immense popularity for their versatility, image quality, and the ability to interchange lenses, making them suitable for a wide range of photography applications.
Key features and aspects of digital DSLRs:
Interchangeable Lenses: One of the most significant advantages of DSLRs is the ability to change lenses. This flexibility allows photographers to choose the right lens for a specific situation, such as wide-angle lenses for landscapes, telephoto lenses for wildlife, and prime lenses for portrait photography.
Optical Viewfinder: DSLRs have an optical viewfinder that uses a mirror mechanism to provide a real-time view of the scene through the camera's lens. This optical viewfinder is favored by many photographers for its accuracy and low latency.
Image Sensor: DSLRs typically feature larger image sensors compared to compact digital cameras, resulting in superior image quality, especially in low-light conditions. Common sensor sizes include APS-C and full-frame.
Manual Controls: DSLRs offer extensive manual control over settings such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO sensitivity, and white balance. This level of control allows photographers to fine-tune their shots and achieve creative effects.
Fast Autofocus: DSLRs are equipped with advanced autofocus systems that can track moving subjects quickly and accurately, making them suitable for sports and action photography.
Image Quality: DSLRs often produce high-quality images with excellent dynamic range, sharpness, and color accuracy. This makes them a top choice for professional photographers and serious hobbyists.
HD Video Recording: Many DSLRs also offer video recording capabilities, allowing users to capture high-definition videos with interchangeable lenses, which is an advantage for videographers.
Accessories and Expandability: DSLRs support a wide range of accessories, including external flashes, tripods, and various filters, which can enhance photography capabilities.
Durability and Build Quality: DSLRs are typically built to withstand harsh conditions and are often weather-sealed to protect against dust and moisture.
RAW Image Format: DSLRs can capture images in the RAW format, which retains all the image data and allows for more extensive post-processing and editing.
Battery Life: DSLRs generally have longer battery life compared to compact digital cameras, making them suitable for extended shooting sessions.
Lens Compatibility: DSLRs often support a wide range of lenses from the same manufacturer, providing photographers with a broad selection of options for various photography styles.
It's important to note that while DSLRs offer many advantages, they can be larger and heavier than compact digital cameras, which may not be ideal for casual or on-the-go photography. Additionally, the photography industry has seen significant advancements in mirrorless cameras, which offer some of the advantages of DSLRs in a more compact and lightweight form.
Overall, digital DSLRs remain a popular choice among photography enthusiasts and professionals due to their versatility, image quality, and manual control options.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this come with an SD card |
Answer: | Hello Cheshier.. Your question and the answer applies to almost all point and shoot digital cameras. The time elapse between pressing the button and the actual 'click' of the picture is a factor of the time it takes you camera to focus the subject and then the actual picture taking.. In other words it takes time for your camera to auto focus then take the picture. The way you and make it almost instantaneous is to point your camera at the subject, press halfway down on the button. Now your camera is doing it's auto focus. and then wait until you see the picture you want and then press the shutter button the rest of the way. Even the digital SLR camera have to be focused manually before the picture is actually snapped. Hope this helps. |
Question: | What type of lense does it take |
Answer: | Yes, the lens cover and all other included accessories can be found in the below link. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMCFZ70.PDF#page=9 |
Question: | How does this camera differ from the t7i |
Answer: | I have had the FZ70 for about 3 months but I have had great results from taking available low light shots (dimmed incandescent ambient light, indoors on very cloudy days, shadows, evening, darkened rooms at night, etc., no flash) in the iA and iA+ (automatic exposure) modes. I checked after and according to the file properties for those pictures the camera used ISO speeds in the 400-800 range. The pictures are very well exposed and lighting is even, and noise is not an issue. When necessary in iA or iA+ modes, in some low light situations the camera will take multiple exposures automaticallly (HDR) and combine them internally produce a great shot with balanced exposure levels. In the iA+ mode there is a wheel on the back of the camera that allows you to adjust the lightness of the exposure. Plus as you get acquainted with the many capabilities and menus on this camera you can set the shutter, aperture, ISO limits, etc. For those few people who have negative comments about this camera in low light situations, I'm not sure they are using the camera properly. There are MANY ways to adjust the settings for brightness even in the iA and iA+ and other modes. |
Question: | How Long Will The Battery Hold |
Answer: | If you're looking for the best macro possible...you need to set camera to manual focusing...since it will give you the better focus than autofocus option, especially if you're using close-up magnifying lenses...+1...+2...+3...or + 10...I have used these lenses, and it will give you a microscopic picture of anything at 16 megapixels...the magnifying lenses also works and with telephoto lenses...as I have said earlier, you just have to use MANUAL FOCUS on camera itself...I have combined +2...magnifying lenses with 2.2 Telephoto lens kit as well, and it gave me 50 times magnification with my old camera DMC-FZ 30...I currently own DMC-FZ 70 and the old camera had a huge advantage over new one because it was ISO-80 capable...ISO does not represent only sensitivity to light value, it also represents the size of the PIXEL...ISO-50 would give you the best possible picture....in old 35mm cameras, ISO determines the media grain size, that FILM / NEGATIVE is made from, and as the value gets bigger, the quality of the picture itself is degrading, while digital camera becomes more sensitive to light... I have captured the picture of the moon with camera mounted on a tripod...as it was sitting in my backyard...you have to understand when you're using any combination of lenses that will magnify your " OPTICAL ZOOM "...you don't lose anything of the quality of the picture itself, compared to digital magnification...of course, as long as the picture itself does not get distortion of a picture...when it comes to macro pictures, it's pretty much the same thing, you have to use magnifying close-up lens kit, if you really want to capture crystal clear superb MACRO... |

A monocoque design keeps the camera remarkably slim, compact and lightweight, and a control layout based on Nikon's flagship cameras makes for comfortable, intuitive handling. The D750 will deliver superb performance. With features inspired by D4S and D810, the D750 brings dazzling image quality, cinematic video capabilities and pro-inspired handling in a nimble design with a tilting Vari-angle LCD and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. And filmmakers looking for a compact D-SLR to bring a production to life or to capture B-Roll will find the D750 a perfect fit. The D750 is a thrilling centerpiece of an exceptional imaging system. The D750 has a feature set unlike full-frame D-SLRs its size. It uses the same autofocus and metering technology as the D4S and the D810—Nikon's powerful 51-point AF system with 15 cross-type sensors and 3D Color Matrix Metering III with a 91,000-pixel RGB sensor. It's fast and responsive; shoot 6.5 fps at full resolution. And it's endlessly versatile; shoot stills in multiple formats, video with enhanced definition, smooth time-lapse sequences up to 9,999 shots in-camera and more—all with stunning sharpness and rich tonality. Open new compositional possibilities with its 3.2-inch 1,229k dot tilting Vari-angle LCD display, or use a compatible smartphone or tablet as a remote monitor for Live View shooting. Like every Nikon full-frame D-SLR, the D750 achieves a level of image quality few other manufacturers can match. Its newly designed 24.3MP FX-format CMOS image sensor is paired with EXPEED 4 image processing for fast frame rates, a low noise, wide ISO range of 100 to 12,800 (expandable up to ISO 51,200), Full HD video with enhanced definition and reduced noise at high ISO sensitivities, minimal moire, jaggies and false colors and a Nikon first—autofocus performance down to -3EV. Paired with the versatile array of full-frame or DX-format NIKKOR lenses, the D750 is capable of telling any story you can imagine. With professional video capabilities inspired by the D810 and an array of inputs and outputs, the D750 is as well-suited for recording daily life and events as it is for filmmaking and videography. Simultaneously record uncompressed and compressed Full HD 1080 footage at 60/50/30/25/24p. Manually control ISO, shutter speed and aperture while recording—even use Power Aperture control for smooth iris transitions and Auto ISO for smooth exposure transitions. Use Highlight Display with zebra stripes to confirm exposure, apply Flat Picture Control for easier color grading in post and record at low and high angles with the 3.2-inch tilting Vari-angle LCD. Sharing and transferring your favorite D750 photos is fast, easy and fun. Wirelessly connect to the D750 with a compatible smartphone or tablet, browse the camera's memory card, download your favorite shots and then email them, text them or upload them to your favorite website. You can also use your smart device as a remote monitor and control for the D750—see what the camera sees and fire the shutter. For faster wireless transfers, transmit images over FTP using the WT-5A Wireless Transmitter + UT-1 Communication Unit. (Advanced shooters can use a web browser on a smartphone or tablet in HTTP mode to operate camera controls and begin Live View shooting.) A first for a Nikon full-frame D-SLR, the D750 features a 3.2-inch 1,229 dot tilting Vari-angle LCD display. It has RGBW alignment and color balance customization, so it can be matched to an external monitor. Use it to shoot from high and low angles, to spot-select white balance during Live View shooting, to access the intuitively redesigned Info. display or to change settings quickly from the separate Photo Shooting and Movie Shooting menus. Match your view and your vision with the 100% coverage optical viewfinder, which has a bright, clear organic EL display system for making adjustments without taking your eye off the action.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will autofocus work on the D750 with my older Nikon 80-400mm lens |
Answer: | The first lens I have on my d750 was the older 80-400mm and it works fine. The D750 (and all FX dslrs) has both body motor and use the af-s lens motor |
Question: | How comfortable is this camera for a woman with small hands |
Answer: | I have small hands and I love it. I did have to get used to buttons being in different places from my other camera. Nikon d5100. The d750 is an awesome camera. It is lightweight too. |
Question: | Can you use DX lenses in DX mode with this camera? Thanks |
Answer: | Yes, DX lenses can be used on FX cameras, but that would be a total waste of money buying a camera like this, because your DX lenses cannot use all of the full frame sensor, which is the reason to buy Nikon cameras D610 and above to begin with. You would be much better off getting a D7100, a DX camera for over $1k less. |
Question: | Is the 24-120 kit lens a good choice for this camera, or is the 24-70 a much better choice for mostly landscapes? Is the 24-70 noticeably sharper |
Answer: | For me this is about aperture the F-24 to 70 is a 2.8 aperture lens the 24 to 120 is an F-4 if you plan on shooting in low light with out having to extend you ISO to noise range the 2.8 24 to 70 will work bast but if you have a budget and plan on using strobes or Speed lights than in may not matter. there many factor that you can come up with but it's also mainly what you perfer. Good Luck |
