Question:	Can you use it to do a pan picture
Answer:	Panoramic shooting is not mentioned in the manual, and there does not appear to be a selection in the camera's functions to achieve it. You can probably still get that result with third-party external software on a PC by taking the sequence of shots to stitch together, but Canon does not provide it.

Answer:	I bought the Canon G7X in 2015 because I wanted a point and shoot that was good in low light situations. The ISO goes up to 12800. The G7X is wonderful! I've used it in concerts and also numerous times for shows in the main theatre on cruises. My friends told me I couldn't take photos as flash was not allowed-no problem with my camera. Photos turned out great! There are newer versions now to the G7X. I've been happy with mine-worth the money.

The first thing I noticed is that Canon has not improved the access door (battery/ sd card slot) in the many years since I had my first point& shoot Canon. (I have a canon rebel too - different story) The reason I am telling you this is that I urge you to buy a cable to download your shots, and clear the SD card from your camera. Every time you open and shut this little door, the weaker it becomes. Eventually you will be forced to tape the door shut to use the camera. I did this for years because I loved the camera. Finally I just got tired of it and bought the rebel. If the only time you have to open the door is to charge the battery, you will extend the usable life of the door HUGELY. As with most technology today, it's longevity depends on its weakest point. One of the two I purchased is for a 12 yr. old - I bought cables for both of us. My opinion: It's worth it because Canon still makes the best lenses.
Question:	Does this have an automatic shutoff If I forget to turn it off
Answer:	I don`t think so. But you`ll know if it`s on. When it`s on, the lens moves way out. When it`s off, it retracts, so the camera is flat. It would be very hard to forget to turn the camera off, or forget you left it on.
Question:	Do you have to remove the battery from the camera in order to charge it
Answer:	Does this camera come with a charger? It says it comes with a rechargeable battery but it isn’t saying anything about a charger. And from looking at other people’s comments I’m thinking it doesn’t come with a charger. So if not then what are you suppose to do cause it’s not regular batteries it’s the rectangle flat battery
Question:	I notice the usb cable has to be purchased separately. does this camera require any special type of usb cable
Answer:	The camera uses sd memory, so you dont need usb cable if your computer has a sd slot

Question:	Can you send the pics from the camera to another device
Answer:	Yes it comes with an app you can download from the app store/ play store. If you have NFC on your mobile device you can just turn it on, on your device, and it will take you straight to the app. All that is left is setting your Wi-Fi connection to the camera and wirelessly send pics from camera to phone. Or you can do it manually through computer, because it comes with an SD adapter that you can plug the SD card into the usb port of your computer.

✿ How to use webcam function:



1.Connect the camera and your computer with a USB cable

2.Select the webcam function.

If your operation is correct, but the webcam function is not possible, it may be that the USB interface has insufficient power supply, which makes this function unusable.

The solution is to plug the USB cable into the USB port on the back of the host computer.

Question:	audio plays when in playback mode, but when I run the mp4 on my computer there is no sound whether using ext mic or 3.5mm aux cord. Why is this
Answer:	Because you bought a defective product. IF you buy ANY of these cameras that appear like yours, regardless of the accessory package, it WON'T WORK as you expect. This series of look alike products are all made at the same factory by the same workers who slap a different option package on a WORTHLESS PRODUCT. This will NOT focus nor is there a focus mode available. Sound is muffled, scratchy, or spotty. The image has a line roll thru it and will not stabilize in intensity and color. You may not notice this in bright light, but indoors it becomes horribly evident. To top all that off, mine ARBITRARILY stopped recording after 4 minutes at a minimum and 14 minutes at the maximum. I had installed a 128GB SD card from the seller, but it cued up with ONLY 24GB available. This was the 3rd CHINESE made SanDisk SD card which LOOKED LIKE a real SD card but did NOT have the shown GB available by over 25% of LABELED volume. MY advice, don't waste your keystrokes looking at or ordering ANY of this worthless trash.
