Answer: | Can’t see why it won’t it’s the same puck that just about every other one use |
Question: | when wil D850 be available |
Answer: | What I've noticed with GPS connection is that parking garages block the signals. The vehicle/devices need a clean connection to the satellites. |
Question: | Is this the US model |
Answer: | It looks as though it will work on any Dashcam with the 3.5 mm GPS labeled jack on it. :) |
Question: | Does anyone have experience with this camera and the 28-300 Nikkor lens |
Answer: | After I connect the Aukey dash cam with the GPS plug in, the date and time in the video was incorrect in the first day. But starting the second day, the date and time on my LCD screen as well as the video were correct. Date and time are supposed to be automatically adjusted when you have the GPS plugged in. I had sent an email to Aukey customer service when I had the issues on day one and according to Aukey customer service, date and time should automatically adjust with the GPS plugged in. My unit has accurate date and time now. |

D850: Extreme Resolution Meets Extreme Speed
When Nikon introduced the D800 and D800E, it set a new benchmark for DSLR image quality and super high resolution photography that approached medium format. Now, five years later, Nikon proudly introduces the next evolution in high resolution DSLRs, a camera that allows photographers to capture fast action in 45.7 megapixels of brilliant resolution. With remarkable advancements across the board—sensor design, autofocus, dynamic range, sensitivity, Speedlight control, battery life, shutter and mirror drive mechanisms, Silent Photography in Live-View mode, focus shift capability and more—this is quite possibly the most impressive, well-rounded DSLR yet.
Nikon's First Back-side Illuminated (BSI) Full-Frame Sensor
At the heart of the D850 is a Nikon designed sensor like none before it—a back-side illuminated (BSI) FX-format full-frame CMOS image sensor with 45.7 megapixels and no optical low-pass filter. A marvel of ingenuity, it achieves extraordinary image quality, enhanced light gathering efficiency, faster data readout and truer color. And with such a dense array of pixels, there's virtually no risk of moire.
Faster, Richer, Sharper Processing
Faster than EXPEED 4, EXPEED 5 quickly processes all 45.7 megapixels of data for lower noise, wider dynamic range, subtle tonal and textural details, high-speed continuous shooting at approx. 9 fps1 and full-frame 4K UHD movie recording.
Sensitive to Every Little Detail
The lower the ISO, the greater the dynamic range. Like the D810 before it, the D850 has the lowest base ISO of any DSLR or mirrorless camera2—ISO 64 (expandable down to ISO 32).
Do Not Disturb
When silence is golden—shooting golf, press conferences, weddings and more—turn on Silent Photography in Live View and capture without sound or mechanical vibration. In Mode 1, shoot for up to 6 FPS continuous at 45.7 MP. In Mode 2, shoot approx. 8.6-megapixel pictures in DX image area at approx. 30 FPS for up to 3 seconds.
Tilt and Touch
The tilting touchscreen LCD screen makes it easy to get the shot, even from high or low angles. Use Touch AF, Touch Shutter control and navigate menus, playback and more as if you were using a smartphone. Zoom in during Live View shooting and use the new Pinpoint AF to put focus right where you want it.
Autofocus that Keeps Up
The D850 uses the same field-proven ultra-accurate AF system as the flagship D5. With 153 focus points, 99 cross-type sensors and a dedicated AF processor, the D850 delivers all of its 45.7 MP performance with NIKKOR lenses. Shoot in low light to -4 EV. Capturing the most elusive subjects will feel like second nature with the D850.
Focus in Near Darkness
Autofocus down to -4 EV lets you capture in low-light situations. Suddenly, fast NIKKOR primes and zooms can handle even lower light than before.
Locked-on Subject Tracking
Nikon's exclusive AF engine uses parallel processing with a sequence control microcomputer to realize high AF performance for fast-moving subjects even during high-speed shooting.
Keeps up with the Action
With up to 7 FPS at 45.7 MP, the D850 can capture the decisive frame of a bride walking down the aisle or a fashion model's fluid pose. For nailing the shot at a high-speed race or of A-listers on the red carpet, try using the optional MB-D18 battery pack and shoot full resolution up to 9 FPS.
A Multimedia Powerhouse
Multimedia content creators rejoice. You are now free to record 16:9 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) in full frame glory using the total width and resolution of the D850's back-side illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor. Take advantage of the large sensor size for clean output at high ISO and for shooting with zero crop factor with any full-frame NIKKOR lenses4, including wide and ultra-wide angle lenses.
Quickly Confirm Focus
Confirm your manual focus with Focus Peaking. Select high, medium or low sensitivity and red, yellow, blue or white highlights. Operates in manual focus mode with AF or compatible manual NIKKOR lenses.
Light it Up
When combined with the optional WR-A10/R10 transceiver (requires firmware version 3.0 or later), the D850 can control and wirelessly fire radio controlled SB-5000 Speedlights from another room, around corners or outdoors in bright sunlight.
4K Time-Lapse in Camera
Create entire 4K UHD time-lapse sequences right in the camera—an exclusive to Nikon DSLRs. Use Silent Live View Mode to bypass the mechanical shutter and mirror movement, saving thousands of shutter cycles and improving the D850's already outstanding battery performance.
8K Time-Lapse Using Interval Timer
Render jaw-dropping 8K time-lapse movies by shooting sequences of up to 9,999 full-size stills, again using Silent Live View Mode. Using the D850's Interval Timer Mode allows you to capture over 8K-size images with exquisite detail for time-lapse movie6 creation. And with no shutter vibration, your sequences will be tack-sharp.
Your Images. The World. Connected.
Transfer your images to a compatible smartphone or tablet instantly using Nikon's SnapBridge app. The app maintains a constant connection with the D850 via Bluetooth Low Energy for seamless transfers, sharing your favorite shots and even controlling the D850 for remote shooting.

Question: | When can you purchase the Z6 ii |
Answer: | Mine is refurbished by Nikon. Came in a Nikon box, I registered it with Nikon. I’m very happy with it. |
Question: | Are these Nikons International models |
Answer: | I purchased a refurbished D610 and it looks totally new. It came with a battery, charger, and neck strap. |
Question: | Does the NikonZ6ii have a body motor that can operate a motorless lens |
Answer: | I have both the D500 and the D750. My opinion is go for the D750 id you expect to make huge enlargements; the D500 if you will mostly view digitally or at snapshot size. The D500 is much quieter and has greater continuous shooting speed for capturing action. The D750 has a larger sensor size. |
Question: | To anyone who owns a d850 and the z 6ii: how does z 6ii compare to d850 performance; especially for af tracking accuracy for action/fast motion |
Answer: | The D500 supports UHD clips at 29 minutes, 59 seconds. The D5 currently supports only 3 minute clips, but a firmware upgrade scheduled for June will raise the D5 limit to the same 20minutes, 59 seconds. |

Product description
Nikon D80 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera- Body Only
From the Manufacturer
The D80 packs high performance and high resolution into a body that is more compact and slimmer than previous Nikon digital SLR cameras. True to Nikon's commitment to intuitive operation, the size, layout and operation of all buttons and controls are designed for maximum ease of use.
10.2 effective megapixel Nikon DX format CCD
Optimized to capture sharp details, the 10.2 effective megapixel CCD image sensor yields extraordinarily high-resolution images, providing plenty of freedom to crop creatively or print impressive enlargements.
Advanced Auto Exposure system
Consistently dependable exposure is the hallmark of Nikon's exclusive 3D-Color Matrix Metering II. Refinements for the D80 include its inheriting the advanced exposure evaluation system from the Nikon D2Xs and D200 digital SLR cameras. Brightness, color, contrast, selected focus area and camera-to-subject distance information is evaluated, with the results referenced against the expansive onboard database of exposure data from over 30,000 actual photographic scenes, and the final exposure value calculated--instantly. Variable-size center-weighted metering is also available, as are a choice of 11 spot meters linked to each of the 11-area AF system's area sensors.
Broad ISO-equivalent sensitivity range
The D80 features extensive range for sure performance through diverse lighting conditions. Sensitivity can be set manually between ISO speeds of 100 and 1600 in 1/3-EV increments, or boosted even higher using the HI-0.3, HI-0.7 or HI-1 settings. Automatic sensitivity adjustment (ISO AUTO) is also available offering the freedom to concentrate on composition while the camera selects the right sensitivity for the shot.
Precision white balance
Advanced Auto White Balance (AWB) produces natural coloration by matching white balance to the light source of the shot. Other flexible options include a choice of six specific manual settings with fine-tuning, (Incandescent, Fluorescent, Direct Sunlight, Flash, Cloudy, and Shade), as well as a preset option for using a gray or white object as a reference.
![]() |
The D80 inherits Nikon's advanced Multi-CAM 1000 AF Sensor Module that recently debuted in the D200. Refinements to this new 11-area AF system ensure consistently fast and precise focus lock under varying shooting conditions, all while the addition of effective new focusing options instills photographers with greater confidence to get the desired shot. For example, while the system is able to use each of its 11 focus areas individually, the center sensor can also be switched to wide-frame operation for broader coverage. Refinements to the programming algorithms that control lens focus action further improve system response and focus precision, along with subject acquisition and tracking abilities.
Auto-area AF mode
This new mode measures all 11 focus areas, automatically determines which of them are on the primary subject, and activates only those areas. During AF measurement, all focus areas that lie within the range of proper focus blink for easier confirmation.
Optimized color modes
Nikon's advanced color reproduction system optimizes the three available color modes to best match the subject or intended use for the image.
- Mode Ia: Renders natural-looking skin tones out of the camera. (sRGB)
- Mode II: Realizes a wider color range suitable for processing
- or retouching. (Adobe RGB)
- Mode IIIa: Renders vivid landscape and floral colors out of the camera. (sRGB)
Instant start-up and immediate response
The D80 starts up in approximately 0.18 seconds, so it's ready to shoot immediately. Its short shutter release time lag of approximately 80 milliseconds helps ensure instant response while shooting, as does the fast and precise focus of the new 11-area AF system with AF-assist illuminator. Images are processed and recorded extremely quickly. Preview images are displayed instantly.
![]() |
Capable of shooting a rapid 3 frames per second in continuous bursts of up to 100 JPEG (FINE M-size or smaller) or 6 RAW (NEF) images, the D80 makes it easier to stay on top of the action or to capture those unexpected, yet precious picture opportunities. Refinements to achieve this performance include improved processing speed, optimized buffer memory handling, as well as higher data transfer rates.
Broad shutter speed options
Shutter speeds from 30 to 1/4,000 seconds can be selected manually or used in conjunction with the automated program modes. Bulb and time options as well as flash-synchronized shutter speeds of up to 1/200 seconds further enhance the digital photo experience.
![]() |
Easily accessed optimization options closely tailor results to the scene at hand or the intended use of the image. Image sharpening, tone compensation, color mode, saturation and hue adjustment is controlled by the user-selected choice of Normal, Softer, Vivid, More vivid, Portrait, Custom or Black-and-white options.
Multiple exposure
This feature creates a single image within the camera from up to 3 consecutive exposures, producing an effect that resembles multiple exposure techniques used with film.
Higher energy lithium-ion battery
The EN-EL3e rechargeable lithium-ion battery with increased energy capacity delivers enough power to shoot as many as 2,700 images per charge. The battery can be recharged at any time, and it now features an accurate real-time fuel gauge system that displays the percentage of remaining charge, number of shots since last charge and overall status of battery service life.
![]() |
Exclusive in-camera image editing features under the new Retouch menu help ensure consistently satisfying results and greater creative freedom. D-Lighting automatically brings out detail to enhance results and add creative flair, all while achieving overall exposure balance. In-camera Red-eye correction automatically detects and compensates the annoying red-eye effect sometimes caused by flash. Images can be trimmed within the camera to produce smaller files for easy sharing or greater efficiency for specific end purposes.
Greater operating ease with Nikon ergonomics
The D80 packs high performance and high resolution into a body that is more compact and slimmer than previous Nikon digital SLR cameras. True to Nikon's commitment to intuitive operation, the size, layout and operation of all buttons and controls are designed for maximum ease of use.
Large wide-angle 2.5-inch LCD monitor with improved menus
The D80 features a large new 2.5-inch 230,000-dot high-resolution LCD monitor that provides an ultra-wide 170o viewing angle from all directions. To accurately assess sharpness, images can be easily previewed at up to 25 times magnification using new dedicated zoom buttons. A new RGB histogram display aids in evaluating exposures with greater precision. Other playback options include single frame, 4 or 9-image thumbnail display, an improved histogram display and highlight point display. Refinements to the new menu interface make navigation easier on the eye, easier to understand and easier to use. The carefully chosen color scheme helps make the larger font size of menu items remarkably easy to read. Menus can be customized to display only selected items using the new "My Menu" set.
Automated Digital Vari-Program and Exposure modes
A selection of 7 Digital Vari-Programs makes creative photography as simple as rotating the mode dial. Choose from Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Close Up, Sports, Night Landscape, or Night Portrait and the selected program automatically optimizes white balance, sharpening, tone (contrast), color, saturation and hue settings to best match the scene. Greater personal control over camera operation is provided by the Programmed auto [P], Shutter-Priority Auto [S], Aperture-Priority Auto [A] and Manual [M] exposure modes.
Large, bright 0.94x viewfinder
Another important new feature of the D80 is the adoption of the pentaprism viewfinder from the D200. This new eye-level optical viewfinder features large magnification (0.94x) that helps ensure a clear view for precise composition. The diopter adjustment control knob also makes it easier to fine-tune the view to match eyesight. The viewfinder's integrated grid display can also be turned on to assist composition.
Storage media (SD memory card)
The D80 is compatible with SD memory cards. Already widely in use around the world and available in a variety of capacities, SD memory cards feature efficiency and convenience in a slim, compact design.
Built-in slideshow functions
Built-in slideshow options for the D80 include Standard or Pictmotion, which includes style selections that control transitions and background music. Shows can be enjoyed on the camera's 2.5-inch LCD monitor, or complete with audio on a television when connected via the supplied AV cable.
Built-in flash with i-TTL flash control
The powerful built-in flash does much more than fire when natural lighting is inadequate or effectively add balanced fill flash when there is strong backlighting. Nikon's highly robust i-TTL flash control evaluates flash exposure with greater precision to achieve better automatic flash balance and deliver outstanding results. It also helps realize features such as Repeating flash function for creating stroboscopic effects and the Modeling Flash, which allows photographers to visually check for shadows and reflective objects and assess overall lighting prior to shooting. Full support for the Advanced Wireless Lighting System lets the built-in flash function as a remote commander that provides direct control to wireless SB-800 or SB-600 Speedlights.

User questions & answers
Question: | Hello wanted to know the status of the camera? And it takes is sending to Las Vegas this week |
Answer: | I measured an almost-exact 168.5 mA when plugged into my desktop computer's pretty-stable 5.02 V source. At 5.12 V from a jump-starter battery I bought recently, it operates at around 178 mA, plus or minus 2 mA. The energy in Watt hours is just these milli-amp measurements divided by 1000 (to get amps), times by the volts, and then times by the number of hours. So for the 5.12 V source, for example, it is: E = 0.178 A * 5.12 V * (1 h) = 0.91136 Wh (watt-hours), or 911.4 milli-watt hours. Different fans may vary slightly, but it is probably fair to expect 200 milli-amps or less. |
Question: | How many Shutter Actuations |
Answer: | Please tell me this is a bulk order and for buisness because you will be paying over $799 in fact if I wanted 100 I would have to pay $899 if you are going to use this for a bitcoin mining rig I suggest you get a bigger fan |
Question: | can I use this d80 with my af nikkor 70-300 mm1:4-5.6G lens and Sigma28-90mmD lens |
Answer: | Hi. This is not about windows 8, it's about the plugs. It should work with any computer as you plug it into a power strip and there is a plug for USB. So happy I purchased this fan base works beautifully. Completely keeps my lap top cooler which will extend thelife of your battery and lap top. Good luck. |
Question: | I'm a beginner, would this be suitable for me |
Answer: | I don't know the rpm, but maybe this will help: The fan is extremely light (plastic blades) and runs almost silently. It's not strong enough to hurt if you put your finger on the blades while running. The blades whir at a fairly high speed (my guess, about 500-700 rpm). |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will autofocus work on the D750 with my older Nikon 80-400mm lens |
Answer: | The first lens I have on my d750 was the older 80-400mm and it works fine. The D750 (and all FX dslrs) has both body motor and use the af-s lens motor |
Question: | How comfortable is this camera for a woman with small hands |
Answer: | I have small hands and I love it. I did have to get used to buttons being in different places from my other camera. Nikon d5100. The d750 is an awesome camera. It is lightweight too. |
Question: | Can you use DX lenses in DX mode with this camera? Thanks |
Answer: | Yes, DX lenses can be used on FX cameras, but that would be a total waste of money buying a camera like this, because your DX lenses cannot use all of the full frame sensor, which is the reason to buy Nikon cameras D610 and above to begin with. You would be much better off getting a D7100, a DX camera for over $1k less. |
Question: | Is the 24-120 kit lens a good choice for this camera, or is the 24-70 a much better choice for mostly landscapes? Is the 24-70 noticeably sharper |
Answer: | For me this is about aperture the F-24 to 70 is a 2.8 aperture lens the 24 to 120 is an F-4 if you plan on shooting in low light with out having to extend you ISO to noise range the 2.8 24 to 70 will work bast but if you have a budget and plan on using strobes or Speed lights than in may not matter. there many factor that you can come up with but it's also mainly what you perfer. Good Luck |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have a dx nikkor 18-300mm lens. will it work in the z50 using which adapter |
Answer: | I have not used this lens but have used a 28-300 Tamron with the adapter. |
Question: | If I'm unhappy with the camera, can I return it |
Answer: | Yes if returned inside the window Amazon gives you in your orders panel. |
Question: | Can you manually adjust all 3 exposure values (iso, aperture, shutter speed) individually |
Answer: | Yes, works the same as the DSLR |
Question: | I am a consumer taking pictures both inside and on trips. used to a d5100 with nikkor 18-200mm. will i need to flip back and forth lenses |
Answer: | Nah, you can use an ftz adaptor. But I think you should get the two lens kit, like I did. With the 16-50 it is so small and agile, I just love it. My landscapes and architecture shots have made me shake my head and chuckle with delight a few times now. The 50-250 lens is small enough that it fits in the front zipper pocket of my old very small camera bag. I had the d70s with big ol lenses, and had to lug around a backpack/camera bag. Now I just grab my shoulderbag and go. I could bury the whole bag with both lenses, spare battery, spare card, cleaning tools, etc into a carry-on bag...with plenty o room to spare! The range of 16-250 on the crop sensor is outrageous, and the image quality is such that I haven't really wished I could adapt a regular lens. BIF are a challenge, though I have captured some osprey and eagles fighting that stunned me...they look photoshoppped against a vivid blue sky. Anyway, you don't need a big 18-200, unless it's super fast. The kit is so small. So capable. So sexy. I haven't sold my other lenses yet, and may still adapt a very wide angle fast lens for astro stuff, but all my other stuff is just collecting dust in the closet. Very happy I bought my z50. Cheap and more-than-good-enough for the creative consumer's needs, the point-and-shoot soccer dad, and even the pro photographer (my friend who is a pro videographer begged me to let him enlarge anf frame my eagle osprey combat shot...it's just that good. |
