Answer: | You can use any EF-S lens. There are a huge variety available from many manufacturers including Canon. You can also use EF lenses that tend to be larger and more expensive. |
Question: | How does this camera differ from the t7i |
Answer: | Its newer and has a newer better processor then the t7i but its a smaller cheaper camera and the auto focus isn't as good. It has the good lens on it (same as t7i) so its a much better camera then the t7 however. The msrp is only 650 but currently sold out so its selling for more. |
Question: | How Long Will The Battery Hold |
Answer: | I have not run the battery down fully yet, and I don’t leave it in the camera when not in use for long periods, but I took well over 800 pics in 2 days on one charge and it still had plenty of energy. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this a US version with a Sony warranty or an international version with a seller warranty |
Answer: | My camera came with a Canon warranty an instructions to register with Canon. I'm not sure why you are asking about Sony.. |
Question: | Does this come with the battery grip with the extra 2 batteries |
Answer: | It does not. Also of note, the grip is the same as the one used for the 70D and 80D, so if you have one of those it will work. It it worth mentioning that the grip does not have a joystick on it. This is due to the fact that it was made for the 70D originally, which did not have a joystick. If you would like more info about the 90D, you should check out the review I have on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the lens, and also has suggestions/comparison with other cameras too. There are also sample images taken with the camera. Here is a link to the review. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1K36NNGFV9ZCU?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp |
Question: | Can it use the 'old' cr2 format or is it cr3 only |
Answer: | CR2 was replaced by the superior CR3. You will need up to date software to edit RAW files. If you would like more information about the 90D, you should check out the review I have on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and also has comparisons to other similar Canon models like the M6mkII, T7i/77D, 80D, and the 7DmkII. I also have sample images taken with the camera. Here is a link to the review. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1K36NNGFV9ZCU/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07WFQYDD5 |
Question: | How many card slots |
Answer: | There is only one slot. This will not be an issue the high majority of the time, but I felt that Canon has no reason not to add a second slot in cameras in this class. Sony and Fuji do, but Canon and Nikon both for some reason do not. Again, not likely to ever matter, but makes the camera less appealing as an event camera. I felt strongly enough about it to remove a star from the camera in my review (top review on Amazon). If you would like to have more info about the 90D, you should check out the review I have on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and also has suggestions/comparisons to other cameras. There are also sample images taken with the 90D. Question: | Do you recommend purchasing a an additional 3 or 4 year warranty |
Answer: | Derwent Chromaflow is a wax-based pencil that has rich, vibrant colour and a smooth, creamy laydown. |
Question: | Would I be able to film full HD music videos with this |
Answer: | Derwent Chromaflow provides artists with an affordable professional quality product which is easy to layer and blend thanks to the richly pigmented smooth texture, providing a velvety laydown. The strength of core results in less breakage when sharpening and in use, as it can handle pressure well, making the pencil reliable for consistent quality for every project, every time. Here is how Chromaflow compares to Procolour, Coloursoft and Lightfast. Procolour: Chromaflow is softer than Procolour and will layer and blend differently. Procolour is more suited to detailed work, has greater point strength, wider core and large colour range. Coloursoft: Both are soft and smooth however Coloursoft has a softer texture and lay down is different. Coloursoft is a larger diameter pencil and therefore builds up colour more quickly. Coloursoft is a great colouring pencil and has a much larger range of colours. Chromaflow mixes well to integrate colours. Lightfast: Lightfast has a larger and stronger pencil core. They are 100% lightfast with a soft and creamy texture. Lightfast is our only oil-based pencil which can achieve paint like affects and has 100 colours in the range. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I will have to obtain a replacement for my beloved 50D. I am guessing that the batteries will not work with the 90D, but what about the lenses |
Answer: | Battery - 50D does not use the same battery. It uses the BP-511A, and the 90D uses the LP-E6N. Several models do use the LP-E6N, but I think in the APS-C line it's the 70D and up. For lenses - All EF and EF-S lenses will work on the 90D, same as the 50D. Anything that worked on the 50D will also work on the 90D. Some of the older lenses, mostly cheaper zooms, don't really look very good on the 32mp sensor, due to the high pixel density. If you would like more information about the 90D, you should check out the review on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and has comparisons to several other cameras for reference. There are also sample images taken with the camera. Here is a link to the review. Be sure to check the comment section for an update to the review that Amazon will not allow me to post, for some unknown reason. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1K36NNGFV9ZCU/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07WFQYDD5 |
Question: | What type of tether cable can I use on the 90D the usb with not fit my older cable |
Answer: | It uses micro USB. Any micro USB cable is fine, it doesn't have to be a Canon cable. You phone may have come with one, depending on how old it is. One caveat, not all of these cables are made for data transfer. Sometimes cables that are included with electronic devices that are meant to be used to charge with, they do not have the connectors to use for data transfer. Be sure that it is a data transfer cable. If nothing else, they are fairly inexpensive cables, you could just buy one. Simply type "Micro USB cable" into the search and it will come up. The amazon basics will work fine. If you would like more info about the 90D, you should check out the review I have for the camera on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and also has sample images taken with the camera. There are also comparisons to other cameras that you might have considered. Here is a link to the review. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1K36NNGFV9ZCU?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp |
Question: | How do l find out where this is shipped from |
Answer: | You can find the info about the seller under the "Add to Cart" and "Buy Now" buttons. If it is Amazon, then it will be from the nearest Amazon warehouse. If from an independent seller, then you would need to seek them out and ask them. If you would like to have more info about the 90D, you should check out the review I have on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and also has suggestions/comparisons to other cameras. There are also sample images taken with the 90D. Question: | Is this a full-size sensor or cropped |
Answer: | Crop sensor, 1.6x crop. If you would like more information about the 90D, you should check out the review I have on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and also has comparisons to other similar Canon models like the M6mkII, T7i/77D, 80D, and the 7DmkII. User questions & answers
Question: | How long is the queue of backorders on Nov 21-- what is the estimated wait time and/or now shipping camera to those who ordered how long ago |
Answer: | Can’t see why it won’t it’s the same puck that just about every other one use |
Question: | when wil D850 be available |
Answer: | What I've noticed with GPS connection is that parking garages block the signals. The vehicle/devices need a clean connection to the satellites. |
Question: | Is this the US model |
Answer: | It looks as though it will work on any Dashcam with the 3.5 mm GPS labeled jack on it. :) |
Question: | Does anyone have experience with this camera and the 28-300 Nikkor lens |
Answer: | After I connect the Aukey dash cam with the GPS plug in, the date and time in the video was incorrect in the first day. But starting the second day, the date and time on my LCD screen as well as the video were correct. Date and time are supposed to be automatically adjusted when you have the GPS plugged in. I had sent an email to Aukey customer service when I had the issues on day one and according to Aukey customer service, date and time should automatically adjust with the GPS plugged in. My unit has accurate date and time now. |

D850: Extreme Resolution Meets Extreme Speed
When Nikon introduced the D800 and D800E, it set a new benchmark for DSLR image quality and super high resolution photography that approached medium format. Now, five years later, Nikon proudly introduces the next evolution in high resolution DSLRs, a camera that allows photographers to capture fast action in 45.7 megapixels of brilliant resolution. With remarkable advancements across the board—sensor design, autofocus, dynamic range, sensitivity, Speedlight control, battery life, shutter and mirror drive mechanisms, Silent Photography in Live-View mode, focus shift capability and more—this is quite possibly the most impressive, well-rounded DSLR yet.
Nikon's First Back-side Illuminated (BSI) Full-Frame Sensor
At the heart of the D850 is a Nikon designed sensor like none before it—a back-side illuminated (BSI) FX-format full-frame CMOS image sensor with 45.7 megapixels and no optical low-pass filter. A marvel of ingenuity, it achieves extraordinary image quality, enhanced light gathering efficiency, faster data readout and truer color. And with such a dense array of pixels, there's virtually no risk of moire.
Faster, Richer, Sharper Processing
Faster than EXPEED 4, EXPEED 5 quickly processes all 45.7 megapixels of data for lower noise, wider dynamic range, subtle tonal and textural details, high-speed continuous shooting at approx. 9 fps1 and full-frame 4K UHD movie recording.
Sensitive to Every Little Detail
The lower the ISO, the greater the dynamic range. Like the D810 before it, the D850 has the lowest base ISO of any DSLR or mirrorless camera2—ISO 64 (expandable down to ISO 32).
Do Not Disturb
When silence is golden—shooting golf, press conferences, weddings and more—turn on Silent Photography in Live View and capture without sound or mechanical vibration. In Mode 1, shoot for up to 6 FPS continuous at 45.7 MP. In Mode 2, shoot approx. 8.6-megapixel pictures in DX image area at approx. 30 FPS for up to 3 seconds.
Tilt and Touch
The tilting touchscreen LCD screen makes it easy to get the shot, even from high or low angles. Use Touch AF, Touch Shutter control and navigate menus, playback and more as if you were using a smartphone. Zoom in during Live View shooting and use the new Pinpoint AF to put focus right where you want it.
Autofocus that Keeps Up
The D850 uses the same field-proven ultra-accurate AF system as the flagship D5. With 153 focus points, 99 cross-type sensors and a dedicated AF processor, the D850 delivers all of its 45.7 MP performance with NIKKOR lenses. Shoot in low light to -4 EV. Capturing the most elusive subjects will feel like second nature with the D850.
Focus in Near Darkness
Autofocus down to -4 EV lets you capture in low-light situations. Suddenly, fast NIKKOR primes and zooms can handle even lower light than before.
Locked-on Subject Tracking
Nikon's exclusive AF engine uses parallel processing with a sequence control microcomputer to realize high AF performance for fast-moving subjects even during high-speed shooting.
Keeps up with the Action
With up to 7 FPS at 45.7 MP, the D850 can capture the decisive frame of a bride walking down the aisle or a fashion model's fluid pose. For nailing the shot at a high-speed race or of A-listers on the red carpet, try using the optional MB-D18 battery pack and shoot full resolution up to 9 FPS.
A Multimedia Powerhouse
Multimedia content creators rejoice. You are now free to record 16:9 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) in full frame glory using the total width and resolution of the D850's back-side illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor. Take advantage of the large sensor size for clean output at high ISO and for shooting with zero crop factor with any full-frame NIKKOR lenses4, including wide and ultra-wide angle lenses.
Quickly Confirm Focus
Confirm your manual focus with Focus Peaking. Select high, medium or low sensitivity and red, yellow, blue or white highlights. Operates in manual focus mode with AF or compatible manual NIKKOR lenses.
Light it Up
When combined with the optional WR-A10/R10 transceiver (requires firmware version 3.0 or later), the D850 can control and wirelessly fire radio controlled SB-5000 Speedlights from another room, around corners or outdoors in bright sunlight.
4K Time-Lapse in Camera
Create entire 4K UHD time-lapse sequences right in the camera—an exclusive to Nikon DSLRs. Use Silent Live View Mode to bypass the mechanical shutter and mirror movement, saving thousands of shutter cycles and improving the D850's already outstanding battery performance.
8K Time-Lapse Using Interval Timer
Render jaw-dropping 8K time-lapse movies by shooting sequences of up to 9,999 full-size stills, again using Silent Live View Mode. Using the D850's Interval Timer Mode allows you to capture over 8K-size images with exquisite detail for time-lapse movie6 creation. And with no shutter vibration, your sequences will be tack-sharp.
Your Images. The World. Connected.
Transfer your images to a compatible smartphone or tablet instantly using Nikon's SnapBridge app. The app maintains a constant connection with the D850 via Bluetooth Low Energy for seamless transfers, sharing your favorite shots and even controlling the D850 for remote shooting.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will autofocus work on the D750 with my older Nikon 80-400mm lens |
Answer: | The first lens I have on my d750 was the older 80-400mm and it works fine. The D750 (and all FX dslrs) has both body motor and use the af-s lens motor |
Question: | How comfortable is this camera for a woman with small hands |
Answer: | I have small hands and I love it. I did have to get used to buttons being in different places from my other camera. Nikon d5100. The d750 is an awesome camera. It is lightweight too. |
Question: | Can you use DX lenses in DX mode with this camera? Thanks |
Answer: | Yes, DX lenses can be used on FX cameras, but that would be a total waste of money buying a camera like this, because your DX lenses cannot use all of the full frame sensor, which is the reason to buy Nikon cameras D610 and above to begin with. You would be much better off getting a D7100, a DX camera for over $1k less. |
Question: | Is the 24-120 kit lens a good choice for this camera, or is the 24-70 a much better choice for mostly landscapes? Is the 24-70 noticeably sharper |
Answer: | For me this is about aperture the F-24 to 70 is a 2.8 aperture lens the 24 to 120 is an F-4 if you plan on shooting in low light with out having to extend you ISO to noise range the 2.8 24 to 70 will work bast but if you have a budget and plan on using strobes or Speed lights than in may not matter. there many factor that you can come up with but it's also mainly what you perfer. Good Luck |

User questions & answers
Question: | Any issues with yongnuo yn-560 iv flashes? i've read that newer canon cameras have issues with non-canon speedlights |
Answer: | I have no experience with off brand flashes, but I hear from a lot of other photographers that the brand doesn't matter like it used to. I would say read the review on the flash first, maybe post this question there too. Maybe even google "best third party flashes for Canon" |
Question: | Can I use my wireless remote with the 80D for long exposure work? & 2) my Canon & Tamron lens which fit my 70D |
Answer: | 1 - Yes, so long as it is compatible. If it worked with your 70D then it will work with the 80D. Also, you can download the Canon Camera Connect app which connects it to a smartphone. This lets that be used for many functions, including as a remote. It's really cool, if you haven't checked it out then you should. 2 - Any lens that fit your 70D will fit this camera. It can use all EF and EF-S lenses, or third party equivalents. I will say that I love my 80D, but I have heard that it is an incremental upgrade over the 70D. If I may, let me give you some advice... Question, is the reason you want this because it is the latest and greatest? If so, then you might be better off getting a new lens instead, something like the EF-S 17-55m F2.8 IS USM, or maybe the EF 100mm F2.8L macro, or even the EF 70-200mm F2.8L USM (yummy!). A higher quality lens will add new dimensions to your bag, producing higher quality images in lower light, at faster speeds, and with bokeh if that is something you would like to have. If you are getting it because your 70D needs replaced, then the 80D is a great choice. Otherwise I personally advise people to avoid making incremental upgrades, and instead add something new to your bag; upgrading glass should be higher priority than upgrading the body. A new body might add cool new features, but the lenses you have are what unlock a camera’s potential. Put a mediocre lens on a new camera, and you take the same photos, just now with more features that don't really do anything to take a better photo. Not trying to sound like a know-it-all, just wanted to make sure you had some good info. If you would like more info about the 80D, then you should check out the review I have on my profile. It covers the pros and cons, offers advice for how to use the camera, and also has suggestions for less expensive cameras that might also work for you. There are also sample images taken with the camera. Here is a link to the review. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R279MNEJUWCW1E?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp |
Question: | Would this camera surpass the mark ii 7d for food photography? or is there an even better option |
Answer: | It may not be helpful to say, but there is always a better option. Personally, if I had more of a budget, I would have purchased a full-frame Canon camera such as the 5d mark iii. When it comes to comparing the 7d mark ii and the 80d, I would choose the 80d. It has better user features overall, not to mention it will have the advantage of the latest improvements Canon has made with its sensor technology in the last two years (The 7d iii announcement date was Sept. of 2014, while the 80d was Feb. of 2016.) The 7d has a higher maximum ISO rating, but having not used it, I can't comment on how usable the upper range is. The 80d still looks respectable when you use higher ISO settings. That said, when taking pictures of food, I'll guess you will have a controlled environment and low light won't be something you are worried about. A site I use for comparisons of cameras is CameraDecision.com. They do side by side comparisons that are very useful. Using this site, they show the 80d would be a superior choice to the 7d mark ii. |
Question: | How does the 80d compare to the 7d mark ii? which one should i buy |
Answer: | I have the 80d , because I shoot a lot of landscapes, portraits, and macro photography. I don't shoot action sports, so I don't need the 7d II for that. But I do use the articulating screen, the wifi, and the high dynamic range of the 80d. It is all a matter of what kind of photos you take. If you are shooting a lot of outdoor action sports, or fast-moving wildlife , go with the 7d II. For everything else, go with the 80d. |
