Use the HookUpz 2.0 to connect your smartphone to binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, microscopes (including slit lamps), monoculars, endoscopes, borescopes and so much more! The HookUpz 2.0 is compatible with smartphones and phablets like the iPhone 6/6S Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS/XS Max and Samsung Galaxy models with cases up to 3.75 inches wide. We also re-designed the horizontal and vertical adjustment features making them a lot more compact and ergonomical. The horizontal phone alignment is now done using a variable pitch screw for fine control adjustments but can also be moved quickly between an iPhone (corner camera) and Android (center camera) positions. The vertical alignment is now controlled on the top for a more compact design that should not interfere with any side buttons on your phone.

• For Apple iPhone X users, if you encounter a black screen effect when digitally zooming – we recommend that you upgrade to at least iOS 12. If you don’t wish to upgrade your iOS, only digitally zoom after you lock the focus and exposure (hold finger on screen on the center of the image viewed through optic until the yellow box ‘AE/AF LOCK’ is displayed).

• For all Apple dual camera phones (iPhone XS/XS Max/X/8+/7+), align the adapter to the 1x wide-angle camera, which is the one nearest to the corner. The iPhone XS Max alignment will be about 2-3mm lower than the center of the corner camera. For Android dual camera phones, align adapter to the primary camera.

Question:	Can this be mounted on a tripod
Answer:	I believe the 8x26 mm ones come with a case, but it is so large and bulky that when traveling (which is the only time we use them instead of 8x42's) we store them in a soft cloth bag with a drawstring, to save space and make them more accessible. We leave the neck strap in attached to the binoculars and allow it to dangle out of the mouth of the small storage bag.
Question:	Works with htc desire
Answer:	I did not have good luck with my Carson RD 8X42 binoculars. My first pair arrived exhibiting a cloudy or milky film in the bottom of the view. This did not cover the entire view but maybe the bottom 10% or so. I ordered a second pair, same thing. I sent back a pair to Carson which also did not improve the image. I tried to engage them with a conversation - was I using the binoculars correctly, to no avail. I don't know the answer to your question, but I'd stay away from Carson.
Question:	Works with an iphone 7 plus
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. The RDs have two loops on either side for a neck strap or harness. These are closed loops, so unless you use something that will attach to the belt loop and then the binoculars, it won't attach directly.
Question:	why will it not work with my rifle scope
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. It depends how much ambient lighting there is. In general, a larger objective lens diameter will gather more light, and while a compact pair of binoculars is more portable and convenient, a pair with a larger objective lens (like an 8x42mm) will be better to use in the dark. Usually, concerts tend to have a fair amount of artificial light though, so this may not be an issue.

Answer:	My best guess is no because the ipod has rounded edgesAlthough both devices use anodized aluminum "unibody" housings, the iPhone 5 models have essentially flat sides with "diamond cut" chamfered aluminum around the edge and an aluminum back with glass portions at the top and bottom to allow mobile and data signals to penetrate the case. The iPod touch 5th Gen models have almost an entirely aluminum back with gently rounded sides and a small plastic cutout in the upper right hand corner for signal penetration.

Question:	My pictures are blurry with the lenses? I’ve cleaned them off. My regular camera is clear but blurry with lens on
Answer:	Did you take your case off your phone? If you haven't thats probably the problem. These lenses have to be flush with your phone in order to work. I have another one of these by a different company and it has to be done the same way. If its still blurry after you take the case off then try pressing your finger to the middle of your picture. That sometimes will make your camera refocus and come in clearer. Also if you're using the macro (up close lens) then you have to get really close to the object youre taking a picture of (like an inch or less) for it to come in clear. It's designed that way so you can get up close pictures with minute details.
