Answer:	Does not come with batteries. ***Important note*** .....do not buy CR123 substitutes. They typically put out 3.7 volts instead of the 3V using the 123s. I used a substitute and it fried my light.

Answer:	It is a little big for a head mount. If you do you may need to find or make a housing for it. It is bigger than my palm.

Answer:	I don't wear glasses so I don't have a definitive answer. I would contend though that it would only cause an issue with the fact that the eye opening and field of view is pretty small unless you hold your eye right up to the eyepiece. It's very much like a pair of smaller binoculars. I will say for a lower priced unit, it is doing the job well. It's deffinitley not as high performing as some of the generation 3 models, but for my law enforcement work in the woods at night, it has done the trick. Good luck!

Wind and humidity can be entered both ways. Distance is entered either with the built in range finder function or can be entered manually through the scope. Answer:	100% yes. Any direct light to the front lense can cause artifacts to occur in you sight picture. Even looking at bright lights at night can cause this. Read up on gen 1 night vision to learn more about this type of night vision

Answer:	You can see and make out objects several hundred yards away, depending on the ambient starlight, moonlight, or city light pollution. Supplementing with the IR illuminator that is built-in, it works for me out to about 150 yards for a man-sized object. It projects a circle of light that fills about 2/3 of the field of view, regardless of the distance. It fades out for me past 150 yards, but you can pick up the reflection in the eyes of an animal about twice that far, so you can spot a deer or coyote out to 300 yards if they look your way.

The key thing to remember when shooting with the StrikeFire II red dot is to keep both your eyes open! Shooting with both eyes open allows you to take full advantage of your peripheral vision to get on target very quickly. Eye placement is not critical. As long as you can see the dot, you’ll hit your target!

Windage and Elevation Adjustments

The StrikeFire II red dot incorporates elevation and windage dials with audible clicks. Each small click will move the point-of-impact 1/2 Minute of Angle (MOA). 1/2 MOA will correspond to 1/2 inch at 100 yards, 1/4 inch at 50 yards, 1/8 inch at 25 yards, etc.

Adjust the elevation and windage settings:

1. Remove the dial covers.

2. Use the raised bar on the dial cover, a coin or screw driver to make the adjustments.

3. Turn the adjustment dial in the appropriate direction as indicated by the arrow on the dial. Move the dial in the direction you wish the bullet’s point-of-impact to change.

Mounting the StrikeFire II

To get the best results from your StrikeFire II red dot, proper mounting is essential and, although not difficult, the correct steps must be followed. Your firearm will need to be equipped with a Picatinny or Weaver style rail/base.

To attach the included cantilever ring mount:

1. Attach the lower part of the cantilever ring mount to the rail/base and make sure this is solidly seated in the base groove. To prevent recoil injury, position the ring so that you have at least four inches of eye relief.

2. Be sure the base clamp is hooked around the outside of the rail/base. Press downward and forward toward the muzzle. Then, firmly tighten the base clamp hex nut.

3. Place the StrikeFire II on the lower part of the cantilever ring mount with the adjustment control buttons facing the shooter. Tighten ring cap screws evenly until all are snug—use caution so as not to over-tighten. Once the screws are tightened, the StrikeFire II should not move on the rail/base.

Answer:	This item amplifies existing light to create an image. If there is true 'total darkness' it won't work, but in most (all) outdoor settings, there is always some ambient light, even if your eyes can't see anything. If ambient light levels are extremely low, it has a built-in infared light source you can turn on to illuminate the area in front of it, even though your eyes don't register the infrared light. If it is used in a normal light environment for an extended time, it can damage the image sensor as it becomes overloaded with the too-bright light. You also notice this if you use it at night and point it toward a street light or lighted sign. It has a lens cover with a small hole in the center which allows it to be tested or used in a bright light environment as this cuts the exposure way down, but if it is that bright you don't need the low-light feature anyway. In the city, you could probably use it in a darkend building or dark alley, but street lights and such will cause the image to 'flare-up' if you point it at them. If you do get one, point it at the night sky and see how many stars are there you don't normally see!

How Night Vision Works:

Available light is gathered by the front Objective Lens, where it is transmitted through a set of optical lenses to the Electronic Intensifier Tube (E.I.T.). High levels of energy, produced by the device's complex power supply, knock out electrons from the Photocathode Screen, located on the front of the Electronic Intensifier Tube. This same energy creates a highly static field, pushing the electrons to the Phosphorescent Screen, a sensitive layer, located on the back of the EIT. These electrons strike the Phosphorescent Screen with great speed, causing the screen to illuminate. This process produces an image, which is then magnified by the Ocular Lens located at the back of the device. By looking through the ocular lens you will see the image as if you just looked through a regular optical device, except the image will appear in a monochrome green color. Finally, the Ocular Lens provides adjustment for your particular eyesight, while the Objective Lens lets you adjust the focus according to the distance of the object you are viewing.

Question:	How does this work with someone who wears eyeglasses? Can it be comfortably used without taking off your glasses
Answer:	YouTube has a number of videos with the iGEN 20/20 IC being used to record night vision only sky objects. The iGEN LE is even more powerful but recently more people are using a Luna Optics LN-DM60-HD or 50 model which is cheaper than the LE. All these are great UFO night vision optics

Answer:	The video signal output by the iGen is Standard Definition or 480i, but the viewfinder is 432 by 240 pixels.

Answer:	I also was use too the military grade NV but I hunt with a partner who uses a Gen 3 military grade NV and we have no problems matter a fact the 20/20 out performs his unit sometimes because of the features for sensitivity. I use exceptional IR illuminators which only cost 20-50 dollars from china called the t20 and t67 with the Osram black 850nm IR. the other night I caught a pack of 10 coyotes creeping out of the woods 400yards away before my partner could see them with his unit (Conditions were NO MOON, tight OVERCAST clouds and HEAVY to LIGHT FOG floating in and out) using my T20 IR ILLUMINATOR with 2.2x Doubler lens and had to direct him in so he could see them also I tried the 6x50mm bushnell equinox z jan 2015 what junk compared to the 20/20!!! returned it promptly.

Answer:	I guess its fine as manuals go. Its in English so that's a plus. It also is good if you need to start a fire or need something to read when your on the john, lots of versatility i guess.

Answer:	Yeah, a huge metal belt clip. and comes with a pouch as well. both are not very useful. But the mono itself and the R/T are awesome!

Answer:	Yes, it does contain a range finder. It is an optical rangefinder based on a graduated reticle. It is not an electronic rangefinder where you press a button and get a number. To use the Vortex R/T (Ranging/Tactical), you need to know the approximate height of the object. That info, combined with the built-in reticle will give you the distance. An internet image search will give you a picture of the reticle, and several sites have info on how to use it. As an example, if a human (2 meters tall) viewed through the scope was 3 hash marks high (milliradians) then the distance would be 2 meters X 1000 / 3 (hash marks) = 666.6 meters (give or take). As a side note, I really enjoy mine, goes with me often on hikes. Well built and compact.

R/T Ranging Reticle

Hashmarked ranging reticle using mrad based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. Quick-ranging silhouettes. The R/T ranging reticle is based on a form of angular measurement called the milliradian (mrad for short). These angular measurements allow a user to calculate ranges when comparing the reticle to objects of known dimension. The key to effective ranging using this reticle is knowing common objects in your vicinity and their measurements.

Adjusting the Focus

Designed for quick single-handed operation, simply place the thumb and forefinger on the focus wheel and turn to move lens forward or backward.

• Top focus wheel adjusts the reticle.

Adjusting the Eyecup

The heavy duty flared rubber eyecup on the Solo Tactical R/T monocular folds up and down for optimal viewing with or without eyeglasses.
