Answer:	You could do so but may have to hold them in place and the voice keeps going on to place a slide in place. The slides which come with the unit are designed to fit, click into, the holder section allowing the unit to determine what slide you are looking at. This unit only has a weak 5x power with no option to focus. Looking at other slides might work but I believe it would be unimpressive.

3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	Magnification and zoom will shrink field of view..couldn't tell you for a microscope as I only use this for my telescope

Answer:	I would be interested to hear from Gosky Seller. I too have a 30mm dia eyepiece as is used in profession microscopes. What I would suggest is you ask your supplier for a 30mm adapter that would fit over the 23 mm 16x lense of your device. That way you wouldn't need to carry 2 smartphone adapters in stock.

Question:	I want to see trichomes turn from clear to amber and be able to take still pictures of it happening , could this product help do that
Answer:	That's probably on the edge of what this thing can do. I used it to enlarge parts of insects, which it did very well, especially when I projected it onto my Smartboard. However, you are talking about something an order of magnitude smaller than that. Likely you could see it, but it would not some close to filling the screen.
Question:	Is this good for looking at teh cannabis trichomes
Answer:	You must mean THE trichomes As the amount of trichomes covering your plant increases, you should take a closer look at them, maintaining a light touch to avoid crushing the resin glands. Your best bet is to purchase an inexpensive 25x microscope and most (Use search for this .. pocket microscopes) pocket microscopes have a small light to help you get an illuminated peek at your trichome development. So, when you cut small buds from your plant to test them, you want to concentrate on the stalked glandular trichomes. The coloration of the gland heads can vary with different strains and maturity, but most start with clear or slightly amber heads that gradually become cloudy or opaque when THC levels have peaked and are beginning to degrade. Regardless of the initial color of the trichomes, with careful observation you should be able to see a change in coloration as maturity levels off. Some cultivators wait for about half of the trichomes to go opaque before harvesting to ensure maximum THC levels in the finished product. However, you will also want to try samples at various stages to see what is best for you. While you may be increasing the total THC level in the cannabis by allowing half of the glands to go opaque, there will also be a larger percentage of CBN, which is why some people choose to harvest earlier while most of the trichomes are still clear.So the short answer to your question is?? YES goofball of course.. but would you really want to be attached to your desk and computer with this, No probably not, like mentioned above you'd be better of with a $10 smaller hand held scopes that are far more convenient and you can carry them in your pocket, they also have a light so while your staggering through your patch you can stop and check a bud and slush onwards, how do I know this, beats me.. Question:	Is the 250x magnification fully optical magnification? Or is that digital? If so, what is the optical magnification range, without digital mag
Answer:	It's all digital and it depends on your monitor size. To determine the magnification, take a photo of the base board while push the microscope down against it. Measure the distance between 2 grid lines on the screen. The ratio between that measurement (on the screen) and distance between 2 grid lines on the base board is the magnification. To get the best magnification out of it, set the Digital Viewer resolution to 1600 X 1200 and then read the photo from file folder after the photo is taken and measure the distance between 2 lines. I get 60X magnification on my 23" monitor. If you have 100" monitor, you may get 250X magnification.

Versatile Stand

Easily analyze the surface of objects large and small at any angle by positioning the flexible gooseneck precisely where you want it. With a suction cup mount and a graduated observation stage, you can attach the microscope to any smooth surface and use the various graduation marks to measure specimens.

If the stand doesn't quite meet your needs, no problem! All fittings have 1/4"-20 TPI threads, which almost all camera mounts use. Create your own stand for your specific purpose.

Compatibility

Windows

USB Video Class (UVC) support is built in to all versions of Windows from XP and above. This includes Windows 10, 8.x, 7, Vista, and XP. Companion software is available on our website that allows finer control of the device, or any other video capture software can be used.

macOS and OS X

Mac computers with OS versions 10.4.2 and above have built-in support for USB Video Class (UVC) devices. Companion software is available on our website that allows finer control of the device, or you can use any video capture software, including Photo Booth (with limitations).

Linux

Linux distributions with kernels 2.6.26 and above have built-in support for USB Video Class (UVC) devices. Works on Raspberry Pi with Raspbian Jessie. We recommend using Cheese or GTK+ UVC Viewer.

Chrome and Android

Works on all Chrome OS devices with the built-in Camera application. Many newer Android devices support the microscope using an OTG cable and a viewing application. Select Android devices may not work, and it's up to the device manufacturer to support external cameras.

iOS

iOS devices (iPhones, iPads) are not compatible with external cameras.
