12 best bushnell zoom binoculars
Bushnell is a well-known manufacturer of optical equipment, including binoculars. While they produce a wide range of binoculars with various features and specifications, we can provide you with some general information about Bushnell zoom binoculars based on their typical offerings.
Bushnell Zoom Binoculars:
Zoom Capability: Bushnell zoom binoculars are designed to provide users with variable magnification. This means that you can adjust the level of magnification to zoom in or out on distant objects. These binoculars often have a zoom range specified in terms of "x," such as 8-24x50 or 10-30x50, indicating that they can provide a range of magnification levels within those values.
Objective Lens Size: The second number in the specification, like "50" in the examples above, represents the diameter of the objective lenses in millimeters. Larger objective lenses allow more light to enter the binoculars, resulting in brighter images.
Optical Quality: Bushnell is known for producing binoculars with good optical quality, including clear and sharp images. They often use multi-coated lenses to reduce glare and enhance light transmission.
Durable Construction: Bushnell binoculars are typically designed to be durable and withstand outdoor use. They may have features like rubber armor for shock resistance and a firm grip, as well as being water-resistant or waterproof for use in various weather conditions.
Field of View: The field of view is an important consideration in binoculars. Bushnell zoom binoculars offer different fields of view at various magnification levels. A wider field of view allows you to see a larger area at lower magnifications.
Purpose: These binoculars are suitable for various purposes, including birdwatching, wildlife observation, sports events, and general outdoor use.The zoom feature allows you to adapt to different viewing situations.
Accessories: Bushnell often includes accessories with their binoculars, such as a carrying case, neck strap, lens caps, and cleaning materials to maintain the optics.
Bushnell's zoom binoculars are designed to provide versatility for users who require variable magnification levels. They aim to offer a balance between magnification and image quality to enhance your viewing experience. When choosing binoculars, it's essential to consider your specific needs and preferences, such as the type of outdoor activities you'll be using them for and your budget, to select the most suitable Bushnell zoom binoculars for your requirements.

User questions & answers
Question: | Are they tripod capable |
Answer: | yes they do. the 10x22x50 come with a flexible vinal padded case. with velcro to close, and Bushnell with gold letters letters on the flip over part. comes with adjustable strap about 1" in width. |
Question: | can you see the colors of birds |
Answer: | The specifications on Bushnell's website clearly state that the zoom model is adaptable for tripods.http://bushnell.com/all-products/binoculars/legacy-wp/10-22x-50mm |
Question: | Does it come with a strap |
Answer: | In general I would say that the Bushnell Legacy WP 8x42 binoculars are good for just about anything. Not great, but very good. Very good for the current price of about $75 here at Amazon. To move up in all-around quality the Pentax 8x40 PCF WPII is currently selling for about $115. The Pentax are superior in every way but field of view in comparison to the Nikon 8x40 Action EX that are currently selling for about $150. If wide field of view is your major concern I would go with the Bushnell Legacy. If overall optical and build quality are most important then the Pentax might be worth the extra $40. To take it up another notch you might consider the roof prism style Carson 8x42 3D series with ED glass presently going for about $200 here at Amazon. Great all-around binocular for the price. For the money spent I don't think you can beat the Bushnell Legacy, the Pentax PCF WPII, or the Carson 3D. |
Question: | Is carrying case included |
Answer: | Absolutely! For starters, Bushnell is a highly respected optics company. More specifically, these binoculars have several features that are exactly what you look for in astronomical binoculars such as:1) 10x50 (and 7x50) are the two most popular sizes for star gazing. They provide sufficient magnification without being to "shaky" when handheld. 10 stands for the amount of magnification, and 50 is how many mm the objective lenses are across. 50mm is ideal for capturing light emitted by the cosmos in order to view them. Anything larger than 10x50 will become bulky and likely require the use of a tripod to maintain steadiness.2) Tripod adaptable: 10x50's can get heavy over an extended time, and the ability to place them onto a tripod is always a perk. 3) BAK-4 Prism provides the highest quality for visual sharpness. (BK-7 is of lesser quality).4) Porro style: optimal style over compact (roof) binoculars as the design requires less strict tolerances when manufacturing. They also provide a more stereoscopic (3D) image than compact binoculars. 5) Fully multicoated: The perfect combination for star gazing. From lesser to higher quality of lense coatings goes as follows: Fully Coated (one layer coating to outside facing lenses) --> Multi-coated (*at least* outside facing lenses are coated multiple times) --> Fully Multi-coated (all surfaces of lenses--inside and outside facing--have multiple layers of coating). The coatings are important because they limit the amount of light that is reflected away from the binoculars. The more light that enters the binoculars, the better the visual quality. 6! Waterproof/Fog-proof: especially useful with stargazing as the temperature changes at night cause the lenses to fog up. Finally, if you still need some convincing, these binoculars can be found on the astronomy retail giant Orion's website, and are located under the "Astronomy Binoculars" section of the website. Here is the direct link to the binoculars on their website: http://www.telescope.com/Binoculars/Astronomy-Binoculars/Bushnell-Legacy-10x50-Waterproof-Binoculars/pc/-1/c/5/sc/72/p/101469.uts?sortByColumnName=SortByPriceAscendingFor the price, and for someone just starting out in astronomy, these are nearly perfect for the price. |

Answer: | I have no idea about that |
Question: | Puedo usarlos con un tripode de rosca |
Answer: | I can't give you an exact number on the coatings, what I can give you is that since I've owned my Bushnell primarily for maritime use, in a harsh marine environment the lens has never delaminated or faded, you will get a durable, well designed, fairly compact pair of binocular at a reasonable price. Hope this helps. Carlos |
Question: | How close is 20x50 on the Bushnell Binoculars |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it show the rings of Saturn and or moons of Jupiter |
Answer: | Obviously, the variable here is the distance from your seat to the stage, but generally this binocular will function fine for symphony viewing, since the stage will be lighted to some degree. I use these at the Hollywood Bowl from the middle row of section G1 with good results. The following are links two images showing the seating plan and a aerial view of the bowl to give you an approximation of the distances involved. Hope this helps.http://hollywoodbowltips.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/hbowl_seatingchart.pdfhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hollywood_Bowl_USGS.jpg |
Question: | Do these work well in low light |
Answer: | I am not sure if this is what you mean, but we have taken these Bushnell's on a cruise to Bermuda and enjoyed using them on our balcony to watch the ships that were sailing nearby as well as when arriving and leaving port. They are a nice compact set of binoculars. |
Question: | How far do these work for? I know nothing about what to buy for my husband to watch anchored ships from our condo balcony |
Answer: | You can filter the reviews, there are drop down boxes at the beginning of the reviews. One of the boxes lets you choose the 8x21 format. (This list varies depending on the item you have chosen to view)At the first page of reviews you can select to see the newest reviews first. At the beginning of the Newest reviews the boxes are just above the first review. |
Question: | Good for watching ballet or theater |
Answer: | Typical binocular sizes for birding are around 8x40, 8x25, 7x35, and 8x30. Bigger 2nd number = more light but heavierer. Models up from this that rare really great but still not to expensive would be the Nikon Acculon 7x35 (wide view), LL.Bean/Bushnell "Discovery" 8x25(small but sharp), and the Leupold Yosemite 8x30(very sharp and clear). This 8x21 is OK but it needs a bright target and it's not super sharp. Still, 8x21 is easy to carry around in pocket or purse. I use the Discovery a lot...it's a compromise size and super-sharp. |

User questions & answers
Question: | can each eye be adjusted by itself or both move together |
Answer: | I doubt if you'll be able to see the rings of saturn but on a clear night the moons of jupiter will be like small pindots. |
Question: | Is glare in lens bad |
Answer: | To maximize low light performance magnification should be limited to seven times objective lens diameter. The further the instrument deviates from that formula, the worse it's performance will be. For a 42mm objective lens (which these binoculars have) the maximum magnification for low light use should be 6X. |
Question: | does it have night vision |
Answer: | If it were me, and the use you describe (stationary subject, balcony, some distance) I'd consider an inexpensive spotting scope and tripod as a better tool for the job. The binoculars you're looking at may not have sufficient magnification depending on distance. |
Question: | is it waterproof |
Answer: | I think these are too heavy and bulky for theater and sports. I prefer an 8x25 compact for that. |
