Quick Start with 3 steps

1. Hold the binoculars with both hands and looking at a distant object.

Carefully and slowly move the binocular tubes downward or upward Until left and right fields are correctly aligned.

You'll See them are forming an oval circle in your sight.

2. It's now focused on your left eye and you will have to close your right eye. Look at an object through the left eyepiece with your left eye.

Rotate focusing ring until your left eye sees a sharp image of it.

3. It's now close to your left eye. Looking through the right eye and right eyepiece of the binoculars, adjust the diopter to focus the image of the object.

Rotate the diopter to get the final image.

What makes this cookie really special is that instead of adding rolled oats and nuts to the dough, I make my own granola. The oats and nuts get tossed with just enough brown sugar and maple syrup to sweeten them lightly and then they are baked at a very low temperature to crisp and infuse them with the sweetener and fully bring out their flavor. The granola recipe, a gift from my multi-talented friend and fellow cookbook author Caitlin Williams Freeman of San Francisco MOMA and Blue Bottle Coffee, also contains cinnamon and vanilla, and any left over is excellent sprinkled over yogurt. These cookies are crisp and chewy and soften slightly on storage.

Oven Temperature | 225°F/107°C for the granola; 375°F/190°C for the cookies

Baking Time | 20 to 22 minutes for the granola; 12 to 15 minutes for the cookies for each of three batches

Special Equipment | One 17¼ by 12¼ by 1 inch half sheet pan | Two 15 by 12 inch cookie sheets, no preparation needed or lined with parchment

Granola (makes about 5 cups)

Preheat the oven | Twenty minutes or longer before baking, set an oven rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 225°F/107°C.

Make the granola | In a large bowl, toss together the oats, walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour on the maple syrup, oil, and vanilla and toss to coat the oat mixture thoroughly. Spread the mixture evenly on the half sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes. Turn the pan halfway around after the first 10 minutes. Remove the pan to a wire rack to cool to room temperature. You will need 4 cups/14.8 ounces/420 grams of granola for the cookie dough.

Raise the oven temperature to 375°F/190°C.

Answer:	You can see the Moon and Saturn, and stars. How far can you see a specific item with sufficient definition to identify it? Determine how far you can do so with the naked eye and multiply by the binocular's magnifivation, e.g., if you can identify a person in a crowd at 100 yards easily, you will be able to do so equally well at 1000 yards with a 10x binocular. A bird at 50 yards will appear through the binoculars as it was 5 yards away.

Answer:	Yes it does. It is a soft case.
Question:	What is the optical and image quality of the 10 x 50 binoculars
Answer:	Usually eye relief of 11mm or more works good for people with glasses. This one has 17mm eye relief. So this one should be okay. Again, this is theoretical and personal comfort needs to be taken into account.
Question:	Is there a hard case that these binoculars will fit nicely into
Answer:	10x magnification versus 8x magnification. If you're bird-watching, hunting, etc., 10x is better. If you're watching a football game, needing low light capability, or genersl-purpose observation, e.g., standing watch on a ship 8x is better.
