Question:	Some reviews say they love the ZOOM. Is there really a Zoom or are people confused between focus and zoom
Answer:	The close-focus is 16.4 feet according to the Vortex website (and, based on some of the other answers, it's sad that they are clueless to the advantages of monocs/binocs for close-viewing; their loss). Good question. Thanks, shiftstick. (PS Most of my binocs are about 5 foot close-focus range, so this is a little on the long side, for sure). Bye now.

Answer:	Close focus is 25 feet, a little fuzzy at 20 ft. I use mine to spot bullet holes in a target when shooting with iron sights at 50 yards. Works great!

Answer:	It's A LOT easier to hold steady a 8X than a 10x...not always you are going to be calm enough to hold steady a 10x...Steadiness it's crucial.

Answer:	That's a great question. I've heard there is counterfeit stuff out there that is hard to tell from the real thing. I believe the one I purchased is in fact made by Celestron. Question:	should i buy this or the nikon trailblazer 10x25 lifetime warranty
Answer:	I am not a big fan of X 25. Just does not let in enough light for my needs. So I went with the x32 . I just wanted a knock around that was not too compacted. But you get what you pay for. These Wingspan are Ok, more substantial with better view than the smaller nikon 10x25. Nikon lens' are better but still too small. Trade off.

Answer:	Yes.... Nice case. The strap is not too nice. There's a very nice one for sale on Amazon for 7 or 8 bucks.

Answer:	Good size for kids and anything smaller than 32 seems to make it difficult for them to find the object. Bigger sizes make the binoculars themselves heavy. I like these and would recommend you give kids lots of instructions and practice.

Answer:	You don't want to submerge them. They will stand up to fresh water splashes but not full out dunks. I'm comfortable taking them in a kayak but not on my board.

The 8x42 TrailSeeker ED binocular provides high-level outdoor performance—a perfect compact ED binocular for avid birders, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts. TrailSeeker ED is packed with optical, mechanical, and ergonomic features that make it comparable to binoculars costing two to five times as much. Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberration, also known as color fringing, a visual defect common in binoculars. Answer:	Never had a problem. We have owned 2 for many years.
Question:	Is this suitable for sky gazing/ astronomy? Thank you
Answer:	I would say...a qualified "yes." You are going to have a nice wide field-of-view and sharp focus. The 40mm objectives are not going to allow a huge amount of light gathering but you will have portability and that counts for a lot - a light, sharp and accurate optic is more useful than a large and bulky choice. Even if that means giving up some "reach."
Question:	does this set of binocs have a separate focus for one eye, or is it a one step focus on a central dial
Answer:	Main central focus with dioptic adjustment for the right eyepiece.
Question:	with such a large field of view, is edge sharpness an issue with these
Answer:	I have not found edge sharpness to be an issue. These binoculars have worked well for me.

Answer:	Yes, these binoculars are also good for indoor use. Great for viewing objects in the distance. Very clear. Love them.

Answer:	I think they would work well while bird watching. They are well made and have good clarity when watching the scenery outside the window. But it is not suggested to watch through the glass.
Question:	Is the neck strap comfortable for a 5 year old? I've seen many descriptions of neck straps on various binoculars - saying they are useless
