Answer:	With a 180 degree fisheye on a full frame sensor yes they would be visible, with a crop sensor they would not be visible, however the rails can be slid back they don't have to protrude out the front so even with a full frame camera you can get the rails out of the shot.

Question:	Are there threads on the bottom to add a plate? looking to use the peak design plate for use with their capture clip
Answer:	If your battery door in on the bottom right of the camera and you put the side bar of the rig on your left, there will be enough clearance to remove your battery without dismantling the rig itself. I use the rig with a Canon 6D and have no problems removing the battery with the rig still on.
