Answer:	No- this is a plastic butter dish. It is fairly durable though- we have dropped it a few times now and it hasn't cracked or broken. It is very lightweight. Looks decent but isn't super substantial. If you want something nice for a dinner party or something like that I would not recommend this product. But if you just need it for everyday use it's fine.
