Answer:	The simple answer is yes. What I recommend is downloading the PDF User Guide and review the information on the external switch. You can use an expression pedal and you can control functions. Beyond that, I am not qualified to give you an in-depth review for two reasons: I don't use the product that way, and not really sure what you want to accomplish (i.e., just get the PDF). I will say it is a great product and has some really good sounds!

Question:	Hello can I dictate my book with this mic
Answer:	The SM86 Condenser microphone is slightly more sensitive than the excellent SM58 Dynamic mic. I’m also a vocalist, and own both these microphones, and haven’t noticed any need to vary the closeness of the SM86 from the SM58. The SM86 may pick up very slightly more detail (especially for higher pitch sounds). However, this difference may be relatively unnoticeable to most folks. I, and many other vocalists, think the SM58 makes vocals sound “warmer”, whereas the SM86 may pick up some tiny little sonic details that the SM58 might miss. The biggest difference in these 2 microphones is that the SM86 (being a Condenser mic) needs “Phantom Power” from the device it’s plugged into. The SM58 does not need any external power.
Question:	How can does it get to ipad/iphone which requires lightning connector? I tried using usb-c -> usb a -> lightning, but my ipad couldn't power it

Answer:	The SM86 can work to mic several people at one time. It is ideal for 4 or 5 people. It is a very popular mic for that reason for Houses of Worship. I would not recommend it for a overhead mic for a choir. Hope this helps.
