User questions & answers

Question: Does this work with a Nikon D
Answer: Depends on the situation.
Question: How can I use this one to let D90 take one picture every 250ms
Answer: Yes. This should be compatible. The D850 has the same 10-pin contact as the D810.
Question: Can this be used as a remote shutter release
Answer: Most likely yes. It's not listed under the specifications on the Vello FreeWave Plus site for Nikon cameras, but virtually every other Nikon camera with a flash mount going back to the D1is, so I don't see why not. If not, you can return it, but I think you'll be all right. http://www.vellogear.com/detail?sku=753842. Cheers, Johnny
Question: Does it work with Nikon D
Answer: I use it with my D810 even though this model is not listed in the specs. I bought it for an older Nikon model and when I got the D810 I continued to use it without a problem. I would think that you wouldn't have a problem. Vello makes a newer model called the "Vello FreeWave Captain Wireless TTL Triggering System for Nikon", but the reviews I see for it are not very good.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this remote work with a Sony A
Answer: Yes, this should work with the D300; see: http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Nikon-Products/Product/Remote-Transmitters/27030/MC-30A-Remote-Trigger-Release.html
Question: this remote works with any camera brand? if TTL is not needed
Answer: WHY ? Don't worry about pressing the button, worry about the shutter speed you have your camera set on. Hold the button down half way if you want to press the button shorter and faster or grind half the button down...
Question: If I have D1 Air units and I wanted to mix them with a B1, would I be able to control the B1 with this remote (without TTL, of course
Answer: Yes I thought the trigger button felt fine. Positive actuation.
Question: Will this work with the Profo B
Answer: No. It only is an extension of the shutter release and it's functionality.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work with a Nikon D
Answer: yes. it can also work on NIKON D5200
Question: Does the flash need to be connected to its trigger with a cord or do the contacts on the base trigger it
Answer: I'm hoping you incorrectly typed in the time frame your looking for. This (and almost all) intervalometers have a minimum of 1 second, nothing less. If you want the shutter to fire in less than a second use your burst mode. Because of the burst limit (100 in the D90 if conditions are perfect) and buffering in the D90 the use of an intervalometer would be senseless.
Question: with nikon d610, the yongnuo YN 560 II and the RF603N II trigger - im not sure what setting the camera should have to fire the flash. it isnt firing
Answer: Yes it can. It is meant to be used as a timer for time lapse photography but can be used as a shutter release if you hold the button down
Question: dose this work with d
Answer: On the basis of the previous response, I purchased this item. It definitely does not fit the Nikon D3300 - different camera plug from that sent with the unit. I highly recommend the vendor - his response to my problem was outstanding. Unfortunately he didn't stock a different cord that would work.

Question: Will this work with the Sony a7riii
Answer: I don't have the D750, but I don't see why this Yongnuo wouldn't work with any Nikon.
Question: Will this work with the Sony a7riii
Answer: The contact trigger the flash. No cords needed.
Question: Will the shutter works if Nikon D850 is in live view mode during the shoot
Answer: The trigger does need to be on the same channel as the flash, and be on TX (Transmit.) The flash does not need a trigger, as it has the receiver build in. If all else fails, go to the Bracketing/Flash menu and set the Built-in flash to Manual, but that should not be necessary. The Flash needs to be set to Wireless, or it won't receive the wireless signal. You can set it to S1 or S2 for infrared, which would be the same as Nikon's speedlights.

User questions & answers

Question: what batteries do both units use
Answer: I couldn't get the D5600 to work as a master and a Flashpoint unit to work as the slave off camera. The flash works on the hotshoe no problem. The solution is to use the Flashpoint R2 pro transmitter in the hotshod and then the remote TTL receiver (either the built in or the independent) works off camera as a slave. Yes the transmitter is another $70,
Question: Is this a radio (RF) remote
Answer: No, unfortunately according to the Nikon site this MC-36 will not work with the D600.
Question: Is the panel display lighted for ude in the dark
Answer: Good question and the BH Photo site says the 36A is just newer and better materials but exactly the same function and comparability as the 36. A bit confusing for sure. I wonder if Nikon just didn't update specs after the D810 came out since they were discontinuing the 36. I may try it to see, big cost difference.
Question: I’m wanting to use this for timelapse photography. How many photos will this allow me to take at one time
Answer: I do not think I will work. The mc36 has a 10 pins connector. Your camera does not have a female connector. You will have the Same problem I still have, the mc-36 is useless unless I buy an adapter to fit into the usb or HDMI micro connector in my camera. The following is the owners manual for your camera. http://download3.nikonimglib.com/archive1/HwYWk00T4Ffq00Y7ztR47e91ro30/L820RM_(En)02.pdf I hope this answer your question.
