Answer:	I can't measure them right now but the tri pod is probably around 13-15" collapsed and the monopod is a bit longer probably around 18-20". They both come in a nylon bag that cinches up around them at one end and its nice to carry them with. My only complaint about this kit is the included tripod adaptor is very weak mine broke before I got to actually use it, picked up the go pro with the tripod on it and it broke right off. The tripod is very light so it should not have broke. Be weary of this if you are somewhere you may loose your camera if it falls off or just use a good adaptor.

Answer:	Yes it is. Besides the fact that it extends up to 1.80m, the mount end cen be turned 180 degrees back and forth. So you can hold it horizontally and place the camera towards your direction or opposite. I hope I cleared it out.
