User questions & answers
Question: | Will autofocus work on the D750 with my older Nikon 80-400mm lens |
Answer: | The first lens I have on my d750 was the older 80-400mm and it works fine. The D750 (and all FX dslrs) has both body motor and use the af-s lens motor |
Question: | How comfortable is this camera for a woman with small hands |
Answer: | I have small hands and I love it. I did have to get used to buttons being in different places from my other camera. Nikon d5100. The d750 is an awesome camera. It is lightweight too. |
Question: | Can you use DX lenses in DX mode with this camera? Thanks |
Answer: | Yes, DX lenses can be used on FX cameras, but that would be a total waste of money buying a camera like this, because your DX lenses cannot use all of the full frame sensor, which is the reason to buy Nikon cameras D610 and above to begin with. You would be much better off getting a D7100, a DX camera for over $1k less. |
Question: | Is the 24-120 kit lens a good choice for this camera, or is the 24-70 a much better choice for mostly landscapes? Is the 24-70 noticeably sharper |
Answer: | For me this is about aperture the F-24 to 70 is a 2.8 aperture lens the 24 to 120 is an F-4 if you plan on shooting in low light with out having to extend you ISO to noise range the 2.8 24 to 70 will work bast but if you have a budget and plan on using strobes or Speed lights than in may not matter. there many factor that you can come up with but it's also mainly what you perfer. Good Luck |

User questions & answers
Question: | i photograph my pets and people. I shoot indoors, would this camera be good or an overkill? I am debating btw the 500 or 750. I |
Answer: | It I is called such because it is low tech and there are such cameras mfg. in Asia which are sold under that labelled category. Holga falls into that category, but is better known as a lomography ("lomo") device. |
Question: | I heard 4k video clips only can be shot at 3 minutes, is that true |
Answer: | Mine is genuine, but Holga has been gone for a while, so today's models will probably be the revived brand. But, what's the big deal? It's still a "Holga". |
Question: | Nikon D750 (FX) or Nikon D500 (DX) ? .....upgrade from Nikon D |
Answer: | Holga 120N – Updated version with plastic 60 mm f/8 lens, tripod mount, bulb exposure mode, improved film counter window switch, foam inserts to provide film spool tensioning, and an additional 6x6 cm film mask Holga 120SF – A standard Holga 120S, with built-in flash |
Question: | do you have to use a xqd memory card in the top slot of the new nikon d-500 camera |
Answer: | I only do b/w so i develop my own film and prints. |

Also on the top is a bubble level which is useful for ensuring you don't have a tilted horizon. The pinhole itself is stated to be 0.3mm with an aperture of f/135 and there is an exposure table on the back of the camera. Compatible with almost all mechanical shutter release cables. (sold separately).
I recommend a tripod and a cable release. It is amazing for black and white panoramas of your city, for portraits and landscapes.
Have fun with this new items. ;-)

Product features
Fujifilm G Format Image Sensor
The Fujifilm GFX 50R features a 43.8x32.9mm CMOS medium format sensor: a product of Fujifilm's rich history, cutting-edge digital technology and extensive knowledge of medium format film cameras. Boasting an effective resolution of 51.4 million pixels and paired with high-performance GF lenses, the sensor delivers superior tones and sharpness that will impress professional photographers shooting in the world of commercial, fashion or landscapes.
Both the shape of the light-gathering micro-lenses and the processing from the photodiodes have been optimized to achieve a high level of sharpness and broad dynamic range. The lowest native ISO sensitivity of 100 and the 14-stop dynamic range, achieved with 14-bit RAW data, delivers high definition images in a variety of conditions with notably rich skin tones and intricate foliage detail.
X-Processor Pro
The Fujifilm GFX 50R sports the X-Processor Pro image processing engine, capable of drawing the very best out of the 51.4 megapixel sensor. Its advanced processing accelerates and optimizes the camera's performance in a variety of areas including stunning color reproduction with Fujifilm's unique Film Simulation modes, in-camera RAW conversion to the 8-bit TIFF format, accurate contrast AF, quick startup time, and minimal shutter release time lag and shooting intervals between frames.
Fujifilm G Mount
The Fujifilm GFX 50R uses the G Mount, which has a mount diameter of 65mm, flange back distance of 26.7mm and minimum back focus distance of 16.7mm. It uses as many as 12 electronic contact points for sending and receiving data, plus it supports the use of a wide variety of lenses and accessories. The short back focus distance, made possible because of the Fujifilm mirrorless system's structure, affords greater freedom in lens design to contribute to the development of fast, compact and high-performance GF lenses while preventing vignetting to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness.
Rangefinder Style
The rangefinder style design allows you to keep your eye on a subject while looking through the viewfinder with the other eye. This allows you to monitor the surroundings more clearly while ensuring proper framing of your subject using the EVF.
Toughness
The Fujifilm GFX 50R's magnesium alloy camera body is dust- and water-resistant while also being able to withstand low temperatures to-10 degrees C. Despite carrying a large image sensor, the camera is compact, lightweight and extremely durable. The GFX 50R rangefinder style design, weighing just 775g, makes it astonishingly compact and lightweight despite being a medium format digital camera, especially when fitted with a compact lens. Weather seals on the inside of the camera body means it is made to withstand dust and moisture and low temperatures. That makes it a perfect choice for a wide range of tough shooting conditions, as well as in-studio.
Feeling
The compact and lightweight GFX body is designed with attention to detail to achieve advanced functionality and elegance at the same time. Examples of this can be seen in the optimized shapes of individual components, surface texture of the magnesium alloy body, and the use of rubber material for a more comfortable grip. Operation dials, including the shutter speed dial, are milled out of aluminum blocks for premium texture. Extra attention has been given to the internal structure and fine adjustments have been applied to individual operations, as evident in the clicking sensation and sound. The more you use the camera, the more comfortable it becomes.
Viewfinder
The Fujifilm GFX 50R is supplied with a 3.69M-dot EVF with 100% coverage. It uses dedicated rich lens elements to achieve extremely high definition finder live view and offers a diopter adjustment range of -4m-1 to+2m-1.
LCD Monitor w/ Smart Touchscreen Display
The rear 2.36M-dot LCD monitor measures 3.2 inches and offers 100% coverage. The smart touchscreen panel enables intuitive operation and tilts in two directions for easy framing and shooting from high or low angles.
The touchscreen makes it easy to select an AF area and enlarge the Live View intuitively.
Dual Card Slot
Both slots support high-speed UHS-II cards. They can be assigned to store files according to their format, e.g. JPEG, RAW or Movie.
Image Formats
The Fujifilm GFX 50R saves pictures in a variety of formats and quality, including two sizes and three compression levels of JPEGs, as well as compressed/uncompressed RAW. Even when you are shooting only in RAW, the camera records 12-megapixel thumbnails at the same time. Its in-camera RAW conversion function also enables RAW files processing with the ability to save them as 8-bit TIFFs.
Shutter
The newly-developed focal-plane shutter is one of the world's first specifically designed for medium format mirrorless cameras. It is a low-noise mechanical shutter that withstands 150,000 actuations**, offers shutter speeds up to 1/4000 sec and has an electronic first curtain. Choose from three shutter types, including an electronic shutter.
Mechanical Shutter
4sec. to 1/4000sec. (P Mode), 60min. to 1/4000sec. (All Modes) Bulb Mode (up to 60min.), TIME: 60min. to 1/4000sec.

4sec. to 1/4000sec. (P Mode), 60min. to 1/4000sec. (All Modes) Bulb Mode (up to 60min.), TIME: 60min. to 1/4000sec.
**According to Fujifilm internal testing.
***When using the electronic front curtain shutter, the continuous shooting speed drops to 1.8fps and using high speed shutter, the shutter switches to mechanical shutter. (1/640sec. to 1/4000)
Focusing
Single Focus Points and Focus Area - TTL Contrast AF is available in Single Point, Zone and Wide/Tracking modes. In the Single Point mode, the camera offers up to 425 Focus Points and six different Focus Area sizes. Select the minimum size for pinpoint focusing.
Film Simulation
Incorporating knowledge developed from over 80 years of photographic film manufacturing, the GFX 50R's Film Simulation modes allow you to enjoy different color tones and rich gradations as if actually swapping films. A total of 15 modes are available, including PROVIA and Velvia to reproduce vibrant colors, plus ACROS for fine-detailed monochrome images. The Grain Effect function can be combined with all Film Simulation modes to add a textured look and deliver a greater range of artistic effects.
Grain Effect
Graininess is added to the entire frame to simulate the look of film-based images.
3D Electronic Level
This electronic level uses a 3D system and is highly effective for architecture or landscape photography, when the accuracy of horizontal and vertical lines is crucial.
RGB Histogram
The Fujifilm GFX 50R can display four types of histograms: RGB and brightness, each with or without highlight warnings.
Voice Memo Function

User questions & answers
Question: | How long is the queue of backorders on Nov 21-- what is the estimated wait time and/or now shipping camera to those who ordered how long ago |
Answer: | Can’t see why it won’t it’s the same puck that just about every other one use |
Question: | when wil D850 be available |
Answer: | What I've noticed with GPS connection is that parking garages block the signals. The vehicle/devices need a clean connection to the satellites. |
Question: | Is this the US model |
Answer: | It looks as though it will work on any Dashcam with the 3.5 mm GPS labeled jack on it. :) |
Question: | Does anyone have experience with this camera and the 28-300 Nikkor lens |
Answer: | After I connect the Aukey dash cam with the GPS plug in, the date and time in the video was incorrect in the first day. But starting the second day, the date and time on my LCD screen as well as the video were correct. Date and time are supposed to be automatically adjusted when you have the GPS plugged in. I had sent an email to Aukey customer service when I had the issues on day one and according to Aukey customer service, date and time should automatically adjust with the GPS plugged in. My unit has accurate date and time now. |

D850: Extreme Resolution Meets Extreme Speed
When Nikon introduced the D800 and D800E, it set a new benchmark for DSLR image quality and super high resolution photography that approached medium format. Now, five years later, Nikon proudly introduces the next evolution in high resolution DSLRs, a camera that allows photographers to capture fast action in 45.7 megapixels of brilliant resolution. With remarkable advancements across the board—sensor design, autofocus, dynamic range, sensitivity, Speedlight control, battery life, shutter and mirror drive mechanisms, Silent Photography in Live-View mode, focus shift capability and more—this is quite possibly the most impressive, well-rounded DSLR yet.
Nikon's First Back-side Illuminated (BSI) Full-Frame Sensor
At the heart of the D850 is a Nikon designed sensor like none before it—a back-side illuminated (BSI) FX-format full-frame CMOS image sensor with 45.7 megapixels and no optical low-pass filter. A marvel of ingenuity, it achieves extraordinary image quality, enhanced light gathering efficiency, faster data readout and truer color. And with such a dense array of pixels, there's virtually no risk of moire.
Faster, Richer, Sharper Processing
Faster than EXPEED 4, EXPEED 5 quickly processes all 45.7 megapixels of data for lower noise, wider dynamic range, subtle tonal and textural details, high-speed continuous shooting at approx. 9 fps1 and full-frame 4K UHD movie recording.
Sensitive to Every Little Detail
The lower the ISO, the greater the dynamic range. Like the D810 before it, the D850 has the lowest base ISO of any DSLR or mirrorless camera2—ISO 64 (expandable down to ISO 32).
Do Not Disturb
When silence is golden—shooting golf, press conferences, weddings and more—turn on Silent Photography in Live View and capture without sound or mechanical vibration. In Mode 1, shoot for up to 6 FPS continuous at 45.7 MP. In Mode 2, shoot approx. 8.6-megapixel pictures in DX image area at approx. 30 FPS for up to 3 seconds.
Tilt and Touch
The tilting touchscreen LCD screen makes it easy to get the shot, even from high or low angles. Use Touch AF, Touch Shutter control and navigate menus, playback and more as if you were using a smartphone. Zoom in during Live View shooting and use the new Pinpoint AF to put focus right where you want it.
Autofocus that Keeps Up
The D850 uses the same field-proven ultra-accurate AF system as the flagship D5. With 153 focus points, 99 cross-type sensors and a dedicated AF processor, the D850 delivers all of its 45.7 MP performance with NIKKOR lenses. Shoot in low light to -4 EV. Capturing the most elusive subjects will feel like second nature with the D850.
Focus in Near Darkness
Autofocus down to -4 EV lets you capture in low-light situations. Suddenly, fast NIKKOR primes and zooms can handle even lower light than before.
Locked-on Subject Tracking
Nikon's exclusive AF engine uses parallel processing with a sequence control microcomputer to realize high AF performance for fast-moving subjects even during high-speed shooting.
Keeps up with the Action
With up to 7 FPS at 45.7 MP, the D850 can capture the decisive frame of a bride walking down the aisle or a fashion model's fluid pose. For nailing the shot at a high-speed race or of A-listers on the red carpet, try using the optional MB-D18 battery pack and shoot full resolution up to 9 FPS.
A Multimedia Powerhouse
Multimedia content creators rejoice. You are now free to record 16:9 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) in full frame glory using the total width and resolution of the D850's back-side illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor. Take advantage of the large sensor size for clean output at high ISO and for shooting with zero crop factor with any full-frame NIKKOR lenses4, including wide and ultra-wide angle lenses.
Quickly Confirm Focus
Confirm your manual focus with Focus Peaking. Select high, medium or low sensitivity and red, yellow, blue or white highlights. Operates in manual focus mode with AF or compatible manual NIKKOR lenses.
Light it Up
When combined with the optional WR-A10/R10 transceiver (requires firmware version 3.0 or later), the D850 can control and wirelessly fire radio controlled SB-5000 Speedlights from another room, around corners or outdoors in bright sunlight.
4K Time-Lapse in Camera
Create entire 4K UHD time-lapse sequences right in the camera—an exclusive to Nikon DSLRs. Use Silent Live View Mode to bypass the mechanical shutter and mirror movement, saving thousands of shutter cycles and improving the D850's already outstanding battery performance.
8K Time-Lapse Using Interval Timer
Render jaw-dropping 8K time-lapse movies by shooting sequences of up to 9,999 full-size stills, again using Silent Live View Mode. Using the D850's Interval Timer Mode allows you to capture over 8K-size images with exquisite detail for time-lapse movie6 creation. And with no shutter vibration, your sequences will be tack-sharp.
Your Images. The World. Connected.
Transfer your images to a compatible smartphone or tablet instantly using Nikon's SnapBridge app. The app maintains a constant connection with the D850 via Bluetooth Low Energy for seamless transfers, sharing your favorite shots and even controlling the D850 for remote shooting.
