I do not know if it would work with the older pv-l559 but I would be surprised if a USB power supply would be sufficient to power the older tape drive based camera. The panasonic manual claims that your camera takes a 6 volt battery, usb is rated at 5 volts so this would be marginal even if the power plug physically fits. |

| Answer: | I get a little less than four hours of continuous recording on one battery. Battery that came with camera only 1 1/4 hrs. I say excellent battery for my purpose. The charger..... not so good. Obviously bad contacts inside.... need to wiggle and push to get it to work and takes much longer than just charging in camera. |

| Answer: | Yes. I've had mine for more than a year, but recently one of the batteries went dead. Also I had problems with the first charger, but they replaced it immediately without question. |
