Answer:	I’m happy to answer your question as these outlets are a little different than the old style. I’ve installed thousands of the classic style outlets. These are new “child safety” outlets. They have little “shutters that prevent children from poking things in the socket. So first make sure you are plugging in with the correct polarity, the fat lug on the correct side. Second, in order to plug something in, to displace the “shutters”, you have push the plug in with authority as I say. Meaning push straight in with more force than you are used to. You will get used to it. If the above still doesn’t work then it’s possible you have a faulty outlet. I imagine that The child proof “shutters” do add a layer of complexity that can add to the possibility of functional malfunction, but I haven’t noticed that issue yet. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Most of the time, receptacles are about 1/8 to 1/4" out from the sheet rock. You can't remove the back of this, therefore it will not sit flush to sheet rock. Not a good design. I don't like the gap between the wall and this unit.

Answer:	The light is exceptionally dim. Check the light’s status at night in a dark room.
Question:	Can this be installed horizontally? My outlets are horizontal
Answer:	You can, but I have the feeling there will be a gravity problem. Since, it only plugs into one of the outlets.
Question:	I was going to buy this but little confused. You have to replace your existing faceplate
Answer:	You remove the faceplate and mount this and use the screw hole that kept the faceplate attached to secure this with the longer screws uncluded. I would add that this outlet blew my outlet as soon as I plugged it in and had to have an electrician replace the outlet. The seller's customer service was terrible and refused to replace it until I sent them photos. Totally unsatisfactory.
Question:	Can this unit handle an air conditioner? I don't like to play around with power sockets or electricity Lol
Answer:	Definitely Not. In nearly every air conditioner manual it specifically instructs/warns you to never use any extension cord or power strip and to Only plug the a/c unit directly into the wall socket (because of risk of fire).

Answer:	Reading off of the item in my hand its Stamped "Voltage Protection rating L-N 400V, L-G 500V, N-G 500V Type 3 SPDMy model number on mine says BE11230-08 so there may have been a change.
Question:	What is the amp rating on the USB plugs
Answer:	2 amps. But if you plug in two devices it will divide to 1 amp each.

Answer:	Yes! Near the power cord, there is an on off switch.
Question:	I had a lightning strike last night and this popped and made a loud noise and then burning wire smell. Is this normal (how they die)? Fire hazard
Answer:	If you have experienced a lighting strike, the MOVs (metal oxide varistors) that dissipate the energy have been stressed. They may not handle the next strike very well and damage the important equipment you plug into this. It is best to purchase a new one so that it will work properly for the next lighting strike. If this is a common occurrence at your home, you should look into lighting arrestors and better ground for your electrical connection to the power grid. I would not trust the protection light (Green) if you are smelling any sort of burnt wire smell. The likelihood of a fire hazard is increased - if wire insulation has melted due to heat from the lighting strike. If I remember correctly, MOVs usually fail to an open state but I would not bet on it without testing. It is cheap insurance to throw this out and replace it with new.

Answer:	Standard home outlets are 15AMP, the only time you’d really need a 20AMP outlet is if your home is equipped to handle heavy duty construction equipment. Best way to confirm if your home can handle a 20 AMP fuse is to check your circuit breaker and it should say it on there.

Answer:	Safe use..plug into outlet.. I have a few..never never never had even a small problem.. I’d ask those who say they had fires start in these if they had their electrical outlets tested. Easy to put blame, and easier to post negative.. if it works great, no one tends to say much! This works great!
Question:	Can you screw this into the wall
Answer:	The 6 outlet version DOES NOT have a screw to secure into the outlet. However the 4 outlet one does, as I own both of them. I do not know why the manufacturing did not include the screw mount on the 6 outlet version, as given its weight and the fact you can plug six things into it, puts a lot of stress on the prongs and the outlet itself.
Question:	Is this resetable after surge
Answer:	Hi Donald,Great question. This device does not have a reset button. The product was designed to protect from outages, but if the surge is so severe that it exhausts the surge protection, it will sacrifice itself (break the circuit) to save your connected devices from any damage. There is a light on this with "PROTECTED" and when this light goes out it is an indication that the product will need to be replaced. The silver lining in all this?
