Answer:	Most of the time, receptacles are about 1/8 to 1/4" out from the sheet rock. You can't remove the back of this, therefore it will not sit flush to sheet rock. Not a good design. I don't like the gap between the wall and this unit.

What causes an electrical surge?

In stormy weather, when thunder happens close to the transmission line, the conveying circuit will create induced surge voltage. This can also occur when a large electric device is turned on in the power circuit. Both types of induced surge voltage can interfere the electric devices connected. The first type can damage the devices.

Frequently used surge protection components

Surge protectors can be added to the power circuit to prevent the damage. The surge protectors are constructed with different types of surge protection components. The most frequently used ones are MOV, GDT and TVS. MOV has medium energy absorbing capability and response time, so it is widely used in simple surge protection circuits. GDT has large energy absorbing capability but longer response time; TVS has response speed less than 1Ns with small energy absorbing capability. All three of them are used together to construct professional surge protection circuits.

POWRUI 3-Level Surge Protection Circuit

POWRUI is one of the few Surge Protector makers which uses TVS, MOV and GDT to make 3-Level Surge Protection Circuit that absorbs the energy in steps, providing the best protection of the electrical devices from voltage spikes. About the input--125V/10A located on the product and specification, it is the standard design for the US. In addition, according to the new changes in FCC(Federal Communications Commission) certification requirements, we are not allowed to print "90V - 264V" on the product itself. That's why it's different from the previous power strips. However, the function works the same.” So... yes it can be used overseas as long as you have the appropriate plug adapter for the plug end of the PowerPort cube. Answer:	Yes, the input voltage of this wall charger is AC 100-240V. It will work with the appropriate adapter by converting by itself overseas.
Question:	Is this at least 5V 2A
Answer:	The max output from the two port is 2.4A in total. For a single port, it could speed up to 2.4A as well.
Question:	I love anker's stuff, but isn't this a repackaged aukey charger? does it have the same issues that aukey does with the charger getting very hot
Answer:	Looks the same but if you read the back of Aukey’s version it says it puts out 2.4amps overall (1.2a per cord), Anker’s version puts out 2.4a to each cord.
Question:	Will this block the other AC outlet
Answer:	The size of this wall charger is 30*33*38mm, it is small enough and fits well in the standard US outlet. Normally, it won't block the other AC outlet.

Answer:	These units are great. I have a few. No reason why you couldn’t plug into strip. A let also makes a model like this one with a 6’ cord if needed.
Question:	Is this safe to use with an extension cord
Answer:	Yes, it is. Make sure the extension cord is not overly heavy and pull on this unit so the contact is good between the wall outlet and this plug. Also observe all applicable rules and current ratings of your wall outlet, this unit and the extension cord. In general, I would say, do not use this unit plus an extension cord for any heavy loads (i.e. heaters, hair dryers, etc.).
