Answer:	I believe it can be washed in a machine based on the material (just a guess), but since the other side is velcro, I highly recommend washing it by itself. I don't know about the dirty, I would get a darker color if you're worried about that. So far mine has stayed pretty clean and I and my pets walk on it daily. I also got a light tan color.

Answer:	Yes, it comes with one roll of double-sided tape.
Question:	if this is 1/4" thick, how can it hold RG-6 cable that's 5/16" thick while remaining flush on floor
Answer:	No it doesn't, however I use a 7' and an 8' section on carpet and find that there is no need for carpet tape. The duct lays flat and doesn't move regardless of foot traffic. I haven't tried it on a wood or tile floor so the results there may be different.
Question:	do I need to use the tape? I don’t want to put it on wood floors
Answer:	It came rolled. But with the heat from a blow dryer it flattened out.
