Intelligent Ground connection

Polarity and Earth detection

The second error is the a lack of Ground/Earth. In a system where there may or may not be a lack of a Ground/Earth, simply insert the AC iPurifier into the system and it will tell you one way or the other. When the two LEDs light up green everything is in order!

    Answer: Just check out the ifi site as I did, it doesn’t say it has MOVs but they show the circuit board and it appears to use them in order to stop over voltage situations. This unit is much more sophisticated than a mere passive filter. It really does work and I can easily hear the effect in my high resolution audio systems. Hope that helped.

    Question: What size for speaker wire
    Answer: This unit is NOT designed to kill SOURCES of 60 cycle hum. It is designed to isolated the input from the output so that signal ground loops cannot happen. These types of units can work miracles in that way. If you expects to kill hum and buzz from a single coil pickup this is not going to do that. The only way that is going to happen is to put a noise gate in the circuit (to hide the hum at low signal levels) or replace the single coil pickup with a humbucking pickup. There are no magic solutions to the problem of pick-up hum outside of playing the guitar in an electrically quiet environment without light controllers, dimmers and flourescent lighting.
    Question: Would this help with alternator whine on a cb radio

However, if the problem is that the transformer in your shop lights is leaking RF, the line conditioner will not help much. This is a pretty inexpensive way to find out, though. You would need an electrician if it can even be installed in the radio. Typically LED lamps do not cause electrical interference unless they are either very cheap knockoffs that are poorly designed or on their way out. In either case they should be replaced with a reputable name brand bulb.

Having said that, if you have a piece of electrical equipment you think is causing noise being picked up by other equipment, it may not be being transmitted via the power connection -- it could be transmitted through the air to the power cables of the other equipment, for example, in which case this filter won't help -- you may need to put the filter on the equipment picking up the noise, instead!

    Answer: Try it on the feed to the lights, and buy ferrite beads and install them between the led lights. And install ferrite beads on the power cord as close to the stereo as possible. Search Amazon for "ferrite beads snap on" for examples. It's all trial and error.

    Answer: I know it sounds odd, but these are designed for the second hot on a US 240v split single phase to be hooked to the neutral input/output...If you look at the schematic both legs are filtered the same so the emi filter doesn't distinguish between hot and neutral in this case...These will also work with either 120v US or 240v EU on one leg with a neutral on the other...
