Answer:	This is a tribrid DVR which allows you to use HDCVI (prefer 4MP), pure Analog (700 TVL, 960H, etc), and IP cameras. You have a maximum of 16 channels using the BNC connections, with an additional 8 channels dedicated to IP. Any of the first 16 cameras may also be allocated for IP instead of coax in the System-->Camera-->Channel Type menu, but the allocation must be assigned from the bottom up, starting from channel 16.
