Answer:	This package includes the VHStoDVD 7.0 Plus (for PC) and Video Conversion for Mac. The only difference between the 7.0 Plus and 7.0 Deluxe is that the Plus version does not include the Blu-ray burning.
Question:	Do you have to play the movie as it converts? does it take convert in high speed or does it take the full movie length time
Answer:	To answer your first question: Yes you have to play the movie as it converts otherwise if you fast forward it it might record you fast forwarding it. Unfortunately there's no work around on that. To answer your second question, no it doesn't convert in high speed unless you have a Solid State Drive and have 16 GB RAM or more then it might, but that's just an educated guess. Otherwise it depends on the length of the tape. The longest I had to record was 2 hours and 28 minutes. The shortest I had to record was 5 minutes. Also it depends on well taken care of and clean the tape is, I noticed the first time I did a tape it kept destabilizing after cleaning the tape it stabilized perfectly the conversion was very smooth.

Question:	Have a mac with catalina 10.15.4 the disc will not load, says not compatible. software from the website will not open. any suggestions
Answer:	I'm using Mojave (10.14.6). No problems. You don't need to download any drivers or software. By plugging the device into your USB port, it loads its own drivers. Then, with your input ready to go, you open Quicktime, do a "New Movie Recording" and then on the little dropdown next to the record button within the quicktime window, select "AV TO USB 2.0" for the Camera and "USB 2.0 MIC" for Audio. Hit record and roll the tape (or whatever).
Question:	Installed drivers, then software, then device. in showbiz capture...no device shows up. what should i do
Answer:	make sure cable connections are tight. Try to change the connections to the plugins to front or viceversa. Click play before capturing

Answer:	I have been unable to get this to work on Windows 10. I was able to get it to work on Windows 7, but not my preferred computer. Moreover, I have been unable to remove ArcSoft ShowBiz software from my Windows 10 computer. The normal windows process for uninstalling an app did not work, even in safe mode. I see no uninstaller with the software (which is quite old), so I don't know what I'm going to do.

You need to be able to extend the yellow-tipped power cord. Because it is 4.8mm (outside diameter) x 1.7mm (inside diameter), finding an extension cord has proven difficult. Never fear! You can make your own. Purchase:- Something like "Conwork 10-Pack 4.8mm x1.7 mm DC Plug Male Solder Power Adapter Straight Connector"- and something like "25 ft Cable (7.7 m) 24 Gauge(Awg) 2 Conductor Wire for Single Color (Red and Black) LED Strips, 25 feet - DEMASLED"You'll need to solder the power connectors to the cable, which means you can make the power cord as long as you want it. Answer:	Yes. I have not found an option to make it full screen, but the picture will still fill most of your screen even with the program border.

Answer:	It depends on what you use to record it on the computer. With the software they supply on a PC, it would be MPEG. Using QuickTime on a Mac, it's MOV.

Answer:	Regarding the user who said it did not pass audio, I found a similar issue with a similar Empia USB capture device. Here's the thing: You have to dig into the *video* input capture settings, where you'll find a Mute checkbox, which defaults to enabled. You'll want to uncheck that, then audio capture will work. Audio capture via PulseAudio may also be crackly and broken, in which case, it's advised to use pavucontrol to disable PulseAudio for the capture device, and use ALSA directly.

Question:	will this work with windows
Answer:	Yes, the one I got certainly did. It also worked fine on Linux.However, I did not try the CD at all. I just plugged it in and let Windows 10 install drivers and I used OBS Studio (open source freeware) to capture the video.

Here's how it works...



1) PC: Install the included "Golden Videos VHS To DVD Converter" Software (published by NCH Software) & activate it using the included license.

Mac: Follow the instructions to use the built-in video recording which is already pre-installed on your Mac.



2) Connect the ClearClick Video Capture Device (Included)



Next, plug in the included ClearClick Video Capture Device to any USB port on your computer. Your PC/Mac will automatically install it - no drivers required! Answer:	It will work with a Mac Mini with Big Sur 11.1, but we can't guarantee compatibility with Final Cut Pro. For recording from the USB device on Mac, please use QuickTime per the instructions. You can then import the MOV file into Final Cut Pro.
