Answer:	Power off and on and control TV volume, yes. I don't think it can do the Onkyo receiver directly though. My sound bar is connected to the TV via an ARC port, so in my case it comes on and is controlled by the TV, so no direct control needed from this remote to the sound bar. You situation may be different if you are not using ARC.
