User questions & answers

Question: Anyone have any success in extending the RF range of this remote with a third party device
Answer: haven't tried
Question: You can unlock all the keys of the control to switch completely on a TV, and how do you do this
Answer: I am able to turn on and off my Samsung TV and Bose speaker bar as well as control the sound on the speaker bar. Hope this helps.
Question: How do you change the battery
Answer: Press setup button on the remote until the LED at the top of the remote changes from red to green. Press 9-9-9. 4 green blinks indicate power is excellent. 3 green blinks good. 2 red blinks power is low. 1 red blink battery very low. If LED blinks red 5 times pressing any button, battery should be replaced. In that case do what Michael says.
Question: Can you program it to do a 30-second skip forward
Answer: The 30 second skip is a function of the DVR, but can be done with a code. Press: Exit - Exit - Exit - 0030. That is Exit 3 times and the 0030 on the key pad. This makes the skip the Mitcht mentioned 30 seconds forward and 15 seconds back when using the pg up and ph dn buttons. Use 3 exits and 0500 to return back to 5 minutes.
