Question:	Do these suppress engine noise
Answer:	They suppress all noise by virtue of the seal around the ear, but they won't block it out because they're not technically noise canceling (no active noise suppression). They also do better with high frequency noise and aren't as good in low frequency where much engine noise lies, which is true of all things that only passively block noise eg ear plugs. So the answer is yes to a limited degree, but it won't be a complete suppression by any means and more in the high frequencies. I've found the combo of these with earplugs to be very effective for airplane noise.
Question:	Is the cord detachable? The description says it is detachable, answers here say otherwise
Answer:	The cord is not detachable but it is replaceable.If you're handy with a soldering iron you can however easily add a 3.5mm headphone jack to use a removable cable.
Question:	How is the sound leakage? l need portable headphones to use in the bus, library, and such. I don't want to bother people around me
Answer:	There is "sound leakage". At the moment, I have them hooked up to my computer. No special amplification, just on-board Realtek. At 75-100% volume, I can slightly hear them over ambient noise (such as my heater, which is kind of loud) while standing about ten feet away. I don't know if everyone else that answered this question listens to their music at low volume, or if their headphones have some insulation that mine doesn't but in my experience, there is plenty of "sound leakage". Also, you could actually use these as speakers while you're not wearing them. They wouldn't be loud enough to entertain anyone, but you could still listen to something while they sit on your desk.

Answer:	Microphone is pretty good. Callers on the other end of the line have been able to hear me with out any issues.
Question:	Do i need a amp for these headphones
Answer:	It says it is around-ear, however, I had to send these back because they were very obviously On-Ear headphones. I have small ears and these hardly touch my head, 95% of the pads are on my ears just like an on-ear headphone. I have the HD598's and they are very large - they don't touch my ears at all. I've had some around-ear headphones that are on the small size and barely clip the top or the lobes - This is not what's happening with these HD 4.40 BT - They are literally just sitting completely on my ears like an on-ear model would. I even had to check the box to make sure they didn't send me an on-ear model - but nope - the box says 'Around-Ear'. Definitely not. Sent these back and just grabbed a second pair of HD598's, but this time the closed-back version and I'm much happier. You can't go wrong with the HD598's.

Answer:	I could not read the question, but here is my opinion anyway. The headphones work as advertised. The price is reasonable also. However, I think the headphones are way too heavy. I have another set of headphones I got from Sweetwater Music that are half the weight and work just as good. Besides, the Seller promised me either a partial rebate or another set of the phones. I sent the required information but I never got the rebate, or even another set of the pones.

Answer:	I use them with my IPHONE SE, this headphones have a screw off adapter, so Yes to your question. . They sound good for $100 I have had better but had to pay a lot more. I use them with heavy bassline music such as House music and they don't distort under high volumes. For the money you can't go wrong and built well.

Answer:	A button on the wire of the ear pieces stops it. I watch Netflix on my kindle fire and use these ear pieces. Of course the Kindle Fire has a pause control. I use the "pause" on the Kindle screen.

Answer:	I had this same problem too, but I resolved in by pushing the plug in until it clicked. Then the sound only came out of the earbuds and not the Kindle speaker.

Question:	Wtf, sennseiser? i spent $38 on genuine replacement. pads were tough to install. headband is impossible! did you test with human beings
Answer:	It is hard but quite possible with a little work and patience. The headband is easier if you soften it a bit first by either putting it in the sun for 15 minutes or very carefully using a hair dryer from a few feet away for 20 - 30 seconds,then stretch it with your hands carefully around the headband and get the zipper started on one end then gradually work your way towards the other end while pulling the two halves together. Make sure you have it centered both along the top and left to right first as when fastened it will not be movable. This is not an easy task and perhaps some people will not be able to do it, this should be made more clear by the seller.
Question:	Will this work on the sennheiser hmd 280 pro headseat
Answer:	I only used the replacement headband from this kit on my HD 280 pro headphones. It took some effort and I had to stretch the new headband in order to get the seams to meet.
Question:	The headband looks like the new model hd280pro, will it fit the original model? and why are these pads half the price of whole new headphones
Answer:	I have the original HD280 and it is difficult to install the headband. The zip locking seams do not meet in the middle, in fact there is about a 1/4" gap where they should join. To get the headband to fit, I warmed it in a toaster oven (not too hot, just very warm). Once it was softened I stretched it to widen the band. Then it fit on the headphones but I still needed to pull the seams together with force. The zip locking seam did snap shut and it is holding so far.
Question:	Will this padding set for the new (redesigned) hd280pro fit my old, classic hd280pro headphones

Question:	Do these replacements contain the same material that deteriorates to pieces? I have to decide if I need a new brand or model. HD280s are nice though
Answer:	I know that I would purchase them again indeed! I've been extremely pleased with the quality of the original set that I purchased in 2002. When looking to replace the ear pads you will be very pleased as was I with the quality of material and workmanship. I highly recommend this product!
