Answer:	The PST-8 has about 7 to 8 ft of power cord, so certainly if your amp is further away, you can use a power cord. I have the same setup and it works well. Depending on your setup, you may chose to run the extension cord from the wall outlet first and then plug in your PST-8, so filtering happens closer to your amp.

Answer:	I disagree with KM. Haven't tried this AudioEngine DAC, but the NUforce Mac-specific DAC I own makes a noticeable difference, mostly in the clarity of the highs. It makes the Mac's built-in DAC sound shrill. On lower-end headphones it might not be detectable. And, of course, everyone's hearing is different. I can listen to Google Play streaming much longer on my Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones through an external DAC than without one.

The PST-8 is the lowest priced Furman surge protector/power conditioner that has Furman's series mode surge protection and more advanced filtering. These features appear to be implemented with same circuit boards and components as the larger and much more expensive Furman units. The PST-8, while clearly not inexpensive, appears to be the value choice among the advanced Furman units. If you want the more advanced Furman features, then the PST-8 is the clear choice between the two units.

Answer:	I very much doubt it. This is a "line level" amplifier. Line level voltage is much higher than the voltage coming from a microphone. This amp is not designed to amplify a microphone.

Answer:	USB ports supply 5V, not 12V, so, no, you can't power this thing with a USB cable.
Question:	could this device be bridged like a car amp
Answer:	If you mean could you listen to headphones in the car with this, it is possible if you are a good technician or if your car unit has a “pre” or “pre-amp” output. Trouble is the device has a wal-wart that wants alternating current and concerts it to direct current but you could look around for a CLA with the proper output voltage and tip. So with a pre-amp output, the proper cabling, (rca l/r to 1/4” stereo or trs) and the appropriate power supply this will power headphones in your vehicle. CAUTION: Using headphones while driving is illegal in many jurisdictions- check your state or local traffic codes. This will not drive speakers well by the way... the output power is too low. Question:	Are the individual outputs amplified beyond normal "line-level" voltages? In other words, if the input is at max volume, will the output be louder
Answer:	The amplifier circuit has a maximum voltage gain of 10 (20dB). However, the actual gain you can get will depend on the impedance of the headset you plug into any given channel. The design calls for a 47 Ohm output resistor for each channel, but the two I received were manufactured with 470 Ohm resistors installed, so the output impedance was ten times what it was supposed to be. People getting units assembled with this error will see far lower gain than they should. Beware!

Question:	Will it work with x box one
Answer:	Im sure it will its very powerfull im pushing 5 pair of headphones with my podcast setup with it at the momment and my levels are not even at half and people always ask me can i turn the headphones down.. The signal is very clean to zero noise.

Answer:	Very little.....I beleive all electronics will add some color, but the Neve designs don’t do much. I find it very accurate and not displeasing.
Question:	I have a pair if beyerdynamic dt900! will this amp improve sound quilty and volume? using headphone for playing while drumming
Answer:	The 400i has a sensitivity of 93db and an impedance of 35 Ohms. I use it primarily with 2 different headphones, Audeze LCD2 Classic and Beyerdynanics DT880. It easily drives the LCD2C, which has a sensitivity of 101db and impedance of 70 Ohms. The DT880 pushes the RNHP but not to its limit. However, they are very hard to drive with a sensitivity of 96db and an impedance of 600 Ohms. The RNHP will drive the 400i with ease. I’ll add, overall I’m very pleased with the RNHP. Pair it with a good DAC and headphones and you will be very pleased with the sound. The steel enclosure gives it a very solid feel and some real weight. Rupert Neve designs and builds great gear. He is virtually a demigod in the professional audio industry.
Question:	Is there any line noise or pooping sound when taking in optical audio output from a computer? Any popping when music stops playing
Answer:	It depends on the dac. You if the dac puts out RCA, yes. If the dac puts out balanced you should use "A".

Question:	Can anyone explain how i can use this with my receiver
Answer:	You need a male to male stereo cable from the headphone jack of your receiver to the input on the headphone amp. Most receivers use 1/4 inch TRS headphone outputs and the headphone amp uses a 1/4 inch TRS input, so it's likely you need a 1/4" male TRS to 1/4" male TRS cable, but you need to check your receiver jack size (most smart phone use 3.5 mm jacks, and jacks, so if your receiver jack is larger than your phone headphones, then it's 1/4"). These cables are available in various lengths up to even 50 or 100 feet
Question:	i bought the micraphone but i need to plug it in to something to make it work what should i buy for that
Answer:	What kind of microphone did you buy? If it is a USB mic you can just plug it into your laptop of computer. If it is a dynamic mic (doesn't need to be powered) you will need an xlr cable, audio interface or mixer, as well as some monitors/speakers/headphones to hear it with. Same goes for a condenser mic but you will need an interface or mixer that provides 48v phantom power to power the mic or else you will get no signal. I would like to know what you're doing and if you meant to post this question on a microphone instead of a headphone amp.
