Answer:	No, there were speakers long before these existed.
Question:	Is this item 4 cables (8 plugs) to power two speakers? Picture isn't clear as to what is at the other end of these cables or how many
Answer:	If you're trying to play music via Bluetooth to your current receiver, you don't need this. There's quite a number of Bluetooth Receivers you can get for under $20. You'd use this device if you wanted integrate your receiver with other Play-Fi speakers as part of a whole-home system. When I last evaluated Polk's Play-Fi products, I found the whole system to be insufficient. This was about 3-4 years ago. They may have improved since. I still highly recommend the Sonos products as being the best integrated for whole-home.
Question:	are these better than mediabridge ultra speaker cables
Answer:	If you want to connect your TV's optical output to your analog stereo, this isn't the right device. First, I don't think that will work. Second, it's wayyyyy to expensive. You can get a Digital Optical Coax to Analog (RCA) adapter thru Amazon for $12 that will do what you want. Unless you want to try to tie your TV's audio to a wireless whole-home speaker system (which I think Polks sucks at this anyway), don't waste your time or money with this device.

Answer:	This is for a single speaker.

Answer:	It doesn't need or accept a battery, the speakers are wired, such as from a receiver or amp. I just noticed the battery spec on Amazon, it's incorrect. (I don't rely on specs listed on Amazon, go to the manufacturer's web site. And I just just checked my speaker user manual, nothing about a battery.) I just noticed (3/4/21) a sale on these, for $149, via the "Polk Audio Store" on Amazon. These are very good speakers, and that's a great price (if it's really a new item from Polk, and not a five-minute bait to get you excited and in the buying mode for after it disappears -- I recommend reading sale info on Amazon carefully for hidden lumps of coal).

Question:	I don't know much about cables to speakers, but do these work well with the sony ss-cs5 speakers
Answer:	The 2709B has a 66 Megohm resistance measuring capacity in its top end ohmmeter function. Other types of megohmmeters, sometimes known as "Meggers" include the ability to put high levels of DC stress voltages (500V, 1000V, etc) on the load (such as large transformers, inductors, Power Factor Capacitors, etc.) while also indicating resistance in Megohms. Clearly, the 2709B, while being able to measure simple resistances, cannot substitute for these. The 2709B only has a 9V battery inside, and is not intended to generate the high DC stress voltages that a "Megger" can. That said, it is still a wonderful instrument for its intended purpose. "Meggers" are a highly industrial instrument usually used in High Power Distribution systems, a different world entirely than that of Low Voltage Electronics Troubleshooting.
Question:	Will this become prime shipping anytime soon
Answer:	Yes. For the lower current fuse, which is the one you most likely may need to replace, search for a: F 500 mA 500V ceramic 6.3 x 32 mm (6 x 32 mm) fuse. The 'F' stands for fast blowing ('flink') and the 'ceramic' indicates it has a ceramic body that will not grenade under extreme overload. In a pinch you can use an 'FF' ceramic fuse, where FF stands for very fast blowing ('flink flink'). Over time, however, an FF fuse may blow at high currents when it does not need to. I have tripled checked the fuse data against what is printed on the meter and against the spare fuses packed with two different meters, made roughly a year apart.

Question:	im trying to make my own test leads for different applications, will these work/fit with a voltmeter
Answer:	Depends. It should fit as the multimeters use standard banana plug socket innerds, but for years commercial test leads have no longer used bare plugs because of the hazards associated with accidental contact which would be shockingly dangerous if working with high voltage (yes, these meters are routinely used in high voltage electrical applications - my meter carries a CAT III rating for use with 1000V, CAT IV for 600 V). BUT, I mainly use my meter on ham radio stuff and sometimes on cars - all low voltage DC applications.I just ordered these to make a current (amperage) test rig with Anderson Power Pole sockets. Again, I stress that I am working with voltage running significantly less than 30V (sometimes 24 V systems in aviation or other automotive systems), but I will wrap the plug bodies in heat shrink insulation to minimize likelihood of contact.

Answer:	I use 12 gauge on my fronts and 14 on my surrounds with no issues. The 12 gauge was a little difficult to get wrapped back around and then screw down, but I really don't know of any banana plug that would we easier, without going to the kind where they use a screw to fasten. This is the easier, cleaner look in my opinion!

Answer:	As PCKIDZ replied, this is a two function connector.The banana plugs are pushed into the hole in the end.If you unscrew the barrel which is knurled, the smaller shaft is exposed, where you can slip on your spade lug and then tighten the knurled shaft to secure the lug.
Question:	whats the differance between open screw and closed screw banna plugs
Answer:	"Open Screw" type plug (side wire) allows for daisy chaining or stacking additional banana plugs to the back. This is desirable in DJ applications if you're running a speakers in parallel and if your amp can handle the low impedances. Closed Screw type has the wire at the back.

Question:	Do these fit most recievers, or are they too large, like some say in reviews? I dont know what to trust
Answer:	I have a High-End Denon and these plugs work just fine. They have a nice heft to them. You'll see. I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved them. A special note: I dont know what gauge wire you are planning on using. I bought 8 awg wire and it barely fits in these plugs. 12 awg or smaller will give you ZERO problems. Don't sweat the petty reviews. I assure you these bad boys are WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

Answer:	They should work very good with Klipsch speakers but may be to big in diameter for the Denon Receiver. They were to big to fit into my 1980's Kenwood 9400 Receiver speaker outputs. Randy

Answer:	Kay,As I draft this response I am holding one of these darlings. The flyer that comes in the box doesn't state the make up of the base material, however I can say it is very heavy for it's size and if I had to guess I'd say it is brass. Answer:	Depends on which type of "push-in" connector you mean... there's the (square) "spring terminal" connector that is most common in speakers and has a small hole for inserting the cable, and there's also the newer (circular) "push-in binding post" that will accept either the banana plug or the bare cable.

Question:	I buy last time this banana plugs for my receiver denon avr 6500h i try to inserted but it can't go through i thought this standerd for avr &spea
Answer:	When new, the plugs are somewhat of a tight fit. Hold the AVR and push firmly. They will fit.
Question:	My Yahmaha amplifier has flip/squeeze plugs, not the round ones I'm seeing here. Will these work
Answer:	I tried it on a flip style and they were too big. The measurement of the plug is 0.15" or 3.85mm at the tip, at the widest 0.20" or 5.3mm. Your flip connectors may be larger than my example, a quick msr of the max gauge wire you can use will answer.
Question:	Can i use these plugs with the speaker cables "rattlesnake 6" with a profile of 6mm^2? or what plugs are to prefer for these cables
